      I paid 100% cash in full for a 2017 Jeep Patriot with under **** miles on it for my daughter. My cash, DL, and insurance info was taken on Tuesday afternoon (her birthday) and delivery was set for Thursday morning. Later that afternoon I get a call from the salesperson who told me that another salesperson had sold the car to someone from ***** who was flying in Wednesday morning to pick it up. According to my salesperson, he had taken the car off the lot, marked it as sold, and put the keys in his desk the day before. When I escalated this issue to the owner, *******************/****** (?) he told me that the salesperson didn't tell me that the car had a leak that created a musty/moldy smell inside the car - and that if the ***** guy showed up and thought it smelled too bad, I could buy the car. What? They then offered to sell me a few cars that they deemed worth more than the $ they had collected from me, all of which may have had a higher sticker price, but all had some kind of flaw that had kept them on the lot for a long time. They also offered to make it right by getting me a lease option on a new vehicle from another Capital dealership (****************). I spoke to the ************ salesperson after the Wilmington GM called on my behalf and I told them that I was looking for something pretty basic. They went dark for three days so I had Wilmington send me money back and told them the other dealership never got back to me. An hour later I got a text from Indian Trail with a quote for a $59,000 Jeep Wrangler that showed a discount from MSRP that was promptly offset by $3000 worth of fees (5 different kinds of fees). These people do not deserve your money or time. I wish I could charge them for my time because not only did I lose the Patriot but I lost the other car I was about to buy in ********* when I got the email alert about the Patriot. Unmitigated disaster.
