I'm at ********** apartments as a disabled veteran where Volunteers of ******* pays for my rent guaranteed every month. I'm quiet, I keep to myself, and I even work part of the time. However, I have a neighbor who repeatedly stands in the passageway between the stairs smoking cigarettes and blocks the narrow passageway at the bottom of and adjacent to the stairway leading from my apartment to the ADA **** to the parking lot, which is pretty much the only way I access my vehicle in the parking lot, since the curbs are rather tall and I have documented health issues and rent out the ground floor ADA ********* apartment. I have now complained about this twice and confronted the neighbor peacefully about it once. If I have to seek legal counsel on how to deal with this problem, I suppose that will simply be the next step. Currently seeking administrative action with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for a positive resolution since this exceeds the scope and capabilities to be dealt with by on-site staff and tenants. Will seek legal counsel next if necessary or notify Volunteers of America, my financial backer, and the **************************** at Federal level and/or Congressman ******** office.
