I purchased a car from this dealer. On Feb 23, 2022 the vehicle was involved in a accident which resulted in a totally loss. The payments were paid up to date at the time. My insurance paid out for the loss amount on the car. I had gap coverage on the car which should have covered the remaining balance. From my understanding I still have a outstanding balance due on the car which should have been paid. I have reached out to the dealership multiple times to get this situation resolved and that will not get back in touch with me and the gap insurance has not paid the unpaid balance. I just want to know if I can get some assistance to resolve this issue for credit purposes I'm trying to get my credit right for a refinance on my other vehicle and it's keeping me from doing what I need to do because it's showing up on my credit as a bill being 6 months behind and the car hasn't been in my possession for about a year now. I'll do whatever I need to on my end I just need assistance with this matter to be able to move forward. Thank you!

I put $4000 down on a **** Kia ******* Never tested drove it because I was told that they needed to put breaks on it first but other than that it was fine. I received the car a week an a half to two weeks later; on a Saturday. We drove the car to Durham to visit family; while their black oil(transmission fluid from main hose to motor) was leaking everywhere. We had to keep refilling it just to get home.Called them Monday about the situation they said its still under warranty; they are currently looking for a mechanic so find one who covers the warranty.Found out the problem wasnt covered by the warranty; but they verbally agreed to take off the amount I paid for repairs off my balance owed. Just come in with the receipt and we would get it in writing.I tried several times to get in contact with L&H; but the employees who knew what was going on and handle everything was never in the building. Even got a employee who said he gave them our messages, etc..Never got a reply, call, letter, nothing. Then on March 1, 2023; I took my car to the mechanic and they called me saying my car was towed.I call L&H and they said my car has been binged for 6 months for nonpayments since I got the car and that our verbal agreement was not valid. Even though my salesman(who no longer works there) and **************** (who was never in the office) agreed and told us to bring in the receipt to sign. Management (who also is never in the office) didnt. We again never received any communication about this issue till this day March 3,2023 They are also saying I need to pay $2,900 plus towing fees in order to receive my car back.Which I would not have known if they didnt repo my car.
