Well we have been having them work on our car for 20 years so this problem started 3 years ago the ** in our **** focus went out we got a leak fixed and Freon put in and then last year we had a compressor put in as that is what we were told was wrong but we did not need entire kit so we were told his work would be covered. The compressor lasted about four or five months through the summer and at the end of the summer of ********************************************************************* it and that wasnt the problem we put it back in the shop and they told us it was the evaporator core And that if we replaced that for $850 that was the part plus work did that would fix the problem we then left the car there for three weeks their main mechanic Ive been working on it got sick with Covid and was out for three weeks. We needed the vehicle back so we agreed to give them our other vehicle to work on and that we were just post pone this one until , we needed to get it fixed because we werent driving it at that time when we went to put the car back in the shop to get the evaporator core fixed and a wheel bearing as we had previously had the car in to get a wheel bearing fixed when they found out about the evaporator. We paid the money to do it. It was $1000 in cash off the books for them as thats what they like for me to do so I do I was not given a receipt at that time and after pretty much getting the vehicle back immediately. We noticed that there was a problem. We put it back in the shop immediately the next day he said he had overfilled it with ***** and then he lets him out and its working fine, I didnt called again that day and said no its definitely not working. The compressor is not engaging and we put it back in the shop to which then we were told some rambling about parts and needing a kit the year before which we were never told to get the full kit we were never even given a decent price come to find out I could have gotten a kit for $310from the auto parts store. we were never actually quoted anything we were never told that we need to replace the entire system with the evaporator core for it to actually work. It wasnt until we brought up. There was a problem that any of this even became an issue on 30 May. I confronted **** the owner and he pretty much immediately without even talking about us paying him to get the whole kit done again but not paying for his work. We were not given any option. He pretty much showed me a part that wasnt even the part that came out of my car. He called it the compressor thats not what he repaired. He obviously knew that there was an issue because I didnt tell him that he told me that but that is what we knew the problem was so Im a little confused as to why I was met with fabrications and miscommunications and then he pretty much said Im not working on your car anymore no he did say that he said I am not working on your car anymore and so now we are out $850 and the original 490 that we paid for the compressor. and I would like to be refunded for the compressor that now does not work that we need to now pay somebody else to do although my compromise was for him to replace the compressor and us to pay him his labor, but we never even got to that kind of a negotiation before he got very nasty to me, now we would like the $310 back for the compressor and 180 for the work thats $490 total and he also ripped up my airbag on my dashboard and went through the top of my dashboard without my permission without any kind of notification, and now it does not sit flat on the dashboard and also tour of the underneath, and did not put it back the way that it was previously so he has actually damage the vehicle as well, and I would like to be compensated the labor for that since it wasnt done correctly of $180 for a total of $670 out of the **** that we paidInitial Complaint

3/15/2018 Gregg was to fix my 1950 Plymouth engine for a cost of no more than $500- He removed the motor for $50 top end work and then to reinstall engine and transmission. I was blown off for the next 4 years- finally i showed up to collect my car and was told engine was not on site in 2020. I recently attempted to get them to locate and return my parts and motor and not fixed and dismantled in pieces and was told they would drop it off and continue to blow me off and not resolve any obvious negligence they have continued to propagate. Hundreds of calls year after year i have done everything to have them give them an opportunity to do the right thing costing me time and money for a rare classic vehicle that will cost much more now to locate parts and motor.
