We contracted with 123 Renovate for a screened porch project that began in Nov ************************************ mid Jan 2024. We paid upfront for everything and now the work has stopped with no communication from the business owner. Repeated attempts have been made for resolution and for completion of the project. The work that was done was messy and shoddy, and has left us uneasy as we also never received any permitting or inspection report, nor any proper documentation of the project plan, regardless of multiple asks. Now the project has been left unfinished, wires exposed, lots left to be done, and still no word from the owner.Initial Complaint

On November 8th, 2021 123 Renovate, LLC was hired to remove and rebuild a front porch with roof and light. Extensive repairs of the siding and walls was also included. The job included wall and siding replacement, sealing, painting and removing the old porch and wall materials. At the end of December most of the work was complete and a total of around $25,0000 had been paid. We agreed that 123 Renovate would let the raw porch wood dry out until mid-February. No exact date was given, but we agreed that they would set a date and return to finish the job. The specific task required to finish the job included: adding trim to the porch, installing and painting the ceiling on the porch, installing a light on the porch, caulking areas around the porch and walls, painting the porch railings and post, filling in the post holes, and removing the remnants of the old porch and other refuse left around the porch area. As of this writing in late June, the final work has not been completed and I have had no response to communication attempts.Initial Complaint

03/2022 myself & Fiance hired ***** ******* from 123 Renovate LLC. out of ****** NC We are placing the house on the market end of June 2022. Advised ***** of this. We had siding work, house painting, finish our deck with pavers and sand. Finish our gate in the yard by adding dog ear pickets, replace front porch stair railing as well as columns and replacing storm door. We had ALL materials here except the siding and paint. All he needed to do was show up to do the work that we had the materials for. He was paid $7,300 out of his $11,300 quote IN CASH. The door handle was put on upside down. One railing was 2 inches higher then the other. ***** said he wanted to start the siding the 1st week in April. Truck was supposed to be delivered with hardi siding and never came. No return calls from *****. No replies to email. No replies to text messages. I had to call him from another # in order for him to answer. he came back finally on 05/10/22 after I told him I wanted refund. He comes with no material/siding. I complained about his work. Goes to the store, comes back with approx 15 pieces of siding when he said we needed approx 40 pieces. He also came back with pickets for the rails that he needed to fix. Thats it! Approx $200 in materials out of $7,300. He "fixed " the railing and made it so incredibly worse. 8 pickets on 1 side & 10 on the other. Nails popping through wood/splitting wood. Siding put on uneven/crooked. Asked for refund & ***** - the owner said he didn't have my money & he used it on another job & brought what he could afford. Told ***** I will call an attorney. His arrogant response was " I guess you better go ahead & make that call ".Told him it will cost more-he says I'll try to get you your $. I gave him until 05/13/22 to have my refund so I gave him extra time. Of course I knew he was lying yet again. Friday 05/13 came and of course no call no show. He is a thief and a fraud and will take your $ & do shoddy work. He has other reviews of the sameInitial Complaint

Hi , The Business entity 123 renovate LLC is running a scam contracting business . The person ***** ******* first collected money from me for doing a screen porch and a deck project . The first fraud the business did with me was never revealing to me that the person finances are not linked to the LLC and caused me to issue a personal check to him after signing the contract . The business is not accepting payments and checks on the name of the company , but taking personal checks from the clients . The second fraud the business is not filing the right county permits , its promising the client that they can start the work even without a permit being issues by the county . The business promised to complete the work in a simulated time , but have not even completed 20% of the work in time and refused to carry on any further work for the installment money collected as part of the contract . The business has collected 1500$ from me to fix m y screen porch , change the ceiling , paint it , reinstall the light fixtures , change decking boards . but has not completed the work in-spite of multiple requests to ***** and the company refused to complete the work , they lie and dnt show up to work . requesting BBB to get me my refund from 123 renovate LLC .Business response

I hired 123 Renovate LLC to build my Front and Back porch and the deal was final for a payment of $13500. I paid 50% of the amount i.e. $6750 on November 07, 2021 and they sent me the written commitment to complete both my porch on or before February 18, 2022 (see the attached 123_Receipt.jpg). Today is February 10, 2022 and they have only come 3 times for 2hrs each to dig holes and fill it with concreate (see the attached Today_image.jpeg). Their manager ***** is a pain to deal with. He never answers my call and only text with a date that they will resume the work and then they don't show up on that day. I am really frustrated with such unprofessionalism and don't know what to do. Can anyone please help me here? Thanks in advance
