The vehicle owner dropped her vehicle off on 2/7/24 for repairs she stated were from a touchless carwash. The owner of the carwash business took ownership of the damage and would be paying the repair invoice upon completion. The vehicle owner called back 2 days later (2/9/24) upset that vehicle repairs were not completed yet and was going to call around to other shops to have the vehicle taken elsewhere. Called back within the hour to state all other repair facilities also had a waiting list and to proceed with repairs, advised us not to "worry about replacing the tire, just the wheel." Had to reach out to the business responsible for payment to add additional damages she stated the carwash caused to gain approval. The approval of additional damages was obtained 2/14/24 from both parties (with the vehicle owner paying 1/2 of the wheel replacement and the responsible party paying the other 1/2.) The wheel was ordered with a delayed ETA of 5 business days. Repairs were completed 2/23/24 and a message was left with the responsible party for payment to be collected before the vehicle could be picked up by the owner. The vehicle owner was contacted that vehicle was ready and reminded of her portion of the wheel that would be due at pickup. Stated she shouldn't have to pay anything for the wheel as damaged was caused by the carwash. Our employee reached out to the responsible party again explaining customer's stance on the wheel and they stated they would pay full amount to appease the customer. The payment was made in the amount of $4,823.93 and the vehicle was picked up 2/26/24. At the time of pick up, the vehicle owner inquired why we had only replaced the fender and not repaired or replaced the 1/4 panel, our estimator explained that was not part of the damage claim reported so it was never approved by the responsible party. Two hours later, her husband called asking why the 1/4 panel wasn't repaired or replaced. Explained the same information to him, that it wasn't reported as part of the damage claim by the customer, so was never approved by the responsible party. He asked why we couldn't just do the work and then make them pay for it. Explained prior approval is needed on any claim before work is performed. He then told our employee, "Well the fender and wheel were already damaged before the car wash just like the 1/4 panel and we got them to cover those two things." Said they planned to have everything repaired and make the business owner pay for it. Repairs were done in a reasonable timeframe and there was nothing substandard about the work performed. The work that was not completed was work not approved for by the business owner covering the cost of this now obvious fraudulent and false claim.

Totally disappointed with services requested which was to paint our truck..Dustin acknowledged what was to be done..the painting of our vehicle he chose to write up wrong information on service order..shoddy work done top cab, removed rubber stripping on cab..,tail gate rattling, numerous scratches all body truck not previously there, gaps in bed liner, painters tape left over light top of cab, front bumper loose from body truck,,,the vehicle was kept 3 weeks , items bought to manager attention gave excuse after excuse why it wasn’t done. The company should be moved to reimburse us the thousands of dollars spent for not providing service paid for, not to mention inconvenience caused. Not sure why he chose to paint tailpipe and under truck what was being covered up..As it stands I would not recommend anyone to be taken advantage of or patronize Pat Body Shop..My truck wasn’t painted but he sprayed .the tailpipe and underneath the truck… Dustin’s exact words were “we would like what we see when he finishes” not the case at all. He was nowhere to be found when we picked our truck up. The right thing to do is reimburse money paid so we can get vehicle painted as it should have been done. It’s very hard to accept that a replicable company in business more than 55 years would allow this to happen

The *******'s were provided a copy of the preliminary estimate before any work was scheduled to be performed and signed a customer direction to pay of agreed amount and agreed on repairs to be completed. The Shop Manager, Dustin, explained the estimate, line by line to both Mr. and Mrs. *******. All-over painting of the vehicle was never quoted, discussed for the repair, nor promised. Dustin also gave the *******'s a discount totaling $369.07 as a courtesy to say thank you for their repeat business. When the customers came to pick up, Dustin walked the vehicle again explaining the work performed. The *******'s voiced how noticeable the items that were not quoted or repaired really stood out against the items that were. Mr. ******* asked for an additional quote to get the other panels repaired, which was provided and approved at that time. As a courtesy to the customer, Dustin sprayed the rear bed panel with undercoating as well as "blackened out" under the fender wells and body carriage. The following day Mrs. ******* called and left a message with concerns regarding work performed and questions regarding the estimate of repair. Dustin tried to contact her back but was unable to reach her. He decided to hold off additional repairs until he was able to speak with her, which was the following day. She was confused still by the repairs performed, she was under the impression that all panels would be repaired and the entire truck repainted for the price of the original quote. Dustin explained the original estimate a few times, but she got extremely frustrated stating she did not understand and did not want any additional work to be performed. She also requested all of her old parts be returned to her. Dustin, went immediately to the metal bin & dumpster to get said parts pulled before garbage pick up and put aside for her to retrieve. Dustin was off Friday, Sept 24 on vacation, when the *******'s came to pick up their truck and old parts, which is why he was "nowhere to be found". The customer is not due any refund for repairs done to their truck. Work performed was exactly what was requested, quoted, and billed. Pat's Body Shop stands behind all of the customer's repairs as well as the charges that the customer was billed for. Again, the customer was provided with a detailed estimate which was explained and they approved before any repairs were performed. The estimate included what labor would be performed to what areas of the vehicle as well as what parts would be replaced and which would be repaired. Included are copies of both the original estimate as well as the supplement where we gave them discounts off on the Lt Door Assm & Tailgate. Please advise if further information is needed. Thank you for your time in the matter. We will await your decision.

Information provided by Pats body shop is not accurate and it’s very evident that the company wants to justify the charges and not responsible for painting our truck..We wouldn’t paid that kind of money to fix one door and roof of the cab..Totally unacceptable..
