new kitchen cabinets, approx. one week old. we were painting the wall next to the pantry cabinet, using blue painters paint. when the tape was removed, the finish came off the cabinet. our sales person said no warranty, that professional painters do not use tape. our sales person knew we were going to do our own painting and did not warn us about using tape. cabinets were sold with a "lifetime warranty".Business response

While it is true damage done by using painters tape on cabinets is not covered under warranty, a panel to repair the damage was immediately ordered on Friday when we were notified and will be installed when it arrives. It sounds like this wasn't communicated well to the customer. Typically painters tape will not cause damage if removed immediately after use and is on less than 24 hours as directed by most tape manufacturers. This can vary by quality of tape and this type of damage is something we see from time to time.
Marsh Kitchen & Bath will certainly take care of the expense to purchase and install the panel.
