I received a bill in the mail and called the number that was stated TWICE. I was put on hold both times for maybe 5 minutes and then my call ended. Not happy.Review from James R.

I received a collection letter in the mail and the bill was paid by health insurance. I tried to call the numbers on the notice but one number never worked and the other number never allowed me to speak with anyone. ***** **

I received the following statement in my last letter from CCI: “You have received previous notification from this office regarding your debt to ***** ******. Our records indicate that you have neither paid this debt nor have you made satisfactory arrangements to do so.” However, the payments are an automatic deduction each month to a Pay card that ***** ****** provided. Not only do I find this letter to be defamatory but a violation of the FDCPA. When I call the agency I encounter the same results as the previous customer reviews.Encore Exchange Company Response

Computer Credit, Inc. has marked the above consumer's file as disputed and we have returned this account back to the original creditor. The consumer may be assured that Computer Credit Inc. did not take any action to affect her credit record.Customer Response

Firstly, we are grateful to the Better Business Bureau. Second, we work hard to avoid credit agencies. An unsolicited collection notice is a slap in the face to individuals that are diligent and committed to paying on time. Finally, thank you for rectifying the error and providing relief from this demeaning and stressful situation. Respectfully, **** *.
