      Paul Davis is like a predatory lender 8n that they prey on people at a low point in their lives. We contacted Paul Davis after a kitchen fire in our home. The management team came out and explained what they would be doing to mitigate the fire damage and clean the kitchen. The mitigation/ cleaning team was here for approximately 6 hours. The team that was packing up the kitchen was here for a total of 6 hours over two days. They tried to get me to let them take all the kitchen contents to be cleaned and stored in their warehouse, which would have left me with nothing to eat or drink with. The day after they left they sent me a bill with many items that had not been done. For example they charged for the mitigation and cleaning of the pantry,. The pantry still smells like smoke and there was soot on everything in the pantry. The also billed me for cleaning the laundry room that was never touched. They tried to bill me for a moving van to transport the boxes to my house! They also billed me for 2 employees for 16 hours to clean and pack the kitchen when they were here for approximately 6 hours. This is just a few of the things they attempted to charge me for! I reached out to the manager and asked for the itmes that were not completed to be removed from the bill. They offered to come back out ND clean again. I declined as I have three dogs and work from home conducting webinars so the intrusion of people in the house severely disrupts my work. I was then told that they would not be removing anything from the bill and I would be responsible for payment in full. Had I thought about the services a little more, I never would have agreed to them packing up my kitchen especially when their construction team told me after the packing team was here that it would be 3 to 4 MONTHS before they could begin repairs on the kitchen!! Ridiculous! Don't hire them for your house restoration needs!!

You and your husband graciously allowed us back into your home on 5/2/2023 where we were able to discuss all of your concerns in detail. Paul Davis Restoration of the Piedmont takes pride in being an honest business that puts the customer experience above any monetary gain. We are happy that our meeting ended with positive feedback from both perspectives and ways we can grow as a company to better serve our community in their time of need. We hope you never need our services in the future, however if that need arises you know who to call.

      Jeff and his team came out to see my complaints first hand. We spent several hours going over each item on the bill and came to an agreement on the final charges. I appreciate the time and effort by Jeff in getting my concerns addressed.
