We had visited Brighton Gardens of ******* ***** to consider them for the care of our mother with dementia. Post our visit our mother's situation deteriorated quickly and we needed to find her long term care and on 6/22/23 we contacted Brighton Gardens regarding availability. Brighton Gardens advised they did not have availability at the moment however if we brought them a $1000 check they would put our mother on their wait list and we would be first in line. Brighton Gardens advised they would not cash the deposit check unless they had we admitted our mother as a resident. On 6/23/23 we found a memory care facility for our mother and it was not Brigthon Gardens. On 7/17/23 Brighton Gardens cashed the $1000 dollar check after being advised that our mother had been admitted somewhere else. I have spoken to the business manager (Lauren) and the executive director, Ian H******, to no avail or satisfaction.
