We met with Bill Jordan and his son Brad to purchase a home on July 26, 2021. We paid them $26,900 for the home, got a bill of sale CONTRACT stating we'll have a title in 7-10 business days and that we have to move home in 45 days (By Sept. 9) or we're charged lot rent which without the actual title in this county we can't move the home. 2 weeks go by and we got no update or anything on our title. We called and texted several times before getting a response of we're working on it. We do know it doesn't take the dmv a month to remake a title and also know we're running out of time to get said home moved. Every "update" we get from the 2 is a different story than the last and they can never actually get their stories to match up so we don't even know if we even have a title coming or not. We just want our title so we can get the home moved. It's been almost a month and we're running out of time to move the home and running out of time in the home we're currently living in.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/20) */ Customers purchased Home on the 27th of July and as August the 20th , we have explained daily in great detail that the title has to be remade , we also paid $1100 more in additional taxes that came up due to late fees , the title had the be Remade though DMV and will be completed , we have done everything possible even going to the tax office personally, but once in a while these things happen , 1 out of 100 plus homes a year , it can happen ..we appreciate the customers patience and 3 weeks now ...we are 8 business days past our agreement and continue to rush things for the customer. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/08/20) */ The contract states July 23, 2021 actually but it was in fact the 26th not 27th or 23rd. I have receipts to prove the date we purchased. As well as receipts for the taxes that we paid as well the same day. The call my husband got today was the same as it's been, "we're working on it but it's very bad that your wife complained to the BBB". That's the great detail we got. The back taxes and penalties were in fact your responsibility as also stated in agreement so that's irrelevant. Also you had to go to the tax office because you still owed the tax office money for the home and gave us a personal check for under the amount after the woman at the tax office told your son/employee they wouldn't accept personal checks so again that was your responsibility as the seller to do so. It really doesn't take the dmv a month to remake a title so what's the hold up? Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2021/09/17) */ The customer got their title and last week and they are satisfied. We are satisfied that we finally got our title but make no mistake. We are very much unsatisfied with the way Bill Jordan and his staff handled this entire situation. We still would not ever recommend this company to anyone.
