Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota denied every single claim during the 2022 year due to a mistake on their end claiming I had another provider as a primary. I got a certified letter from Cigna showing my insurance with them ended in September of 2021.BCBS claimed they would re visit all of the claims over 6 months ago. So far, they have done nothing even though I have contacted them multiple times and given them the dates of services.I am now dealing with tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills with many providers having sent me to collections.I feel this huge corporation can just completely ignore me while my life is utterly ruined and I am being bankrupted, using my retirement funds to keep collections at bay while BCBSND does absolutely nothing and just ignores me because I don't have the funds to hire legal counci.I had this insurance through an employer, Bushel, where I paid premiums and now 100% of all medical expenses for the end of 2021 and ALL of 2022...Business response

This member came onto BCBSND as of 1-1-2022. When this member was initially enrolled, there was information provided to BCBSND that there was other health insurance coverage as primary. It took a few months to receive a letter from his prior carrier confirming that coverage was no longer primary and claims have now been reprocessed to pay claims as of 9-26-2023 and explanation of benefits (EOBs) have gone out to reflect what the member's responsibility is on those claims. We have also reached out to the employer to notify them of this.

When my Mother passed away last week we found a policy for Northern Plains Life a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND. Both myself & the funeral director have gotten the run around with multiple companies, everyone we can get to pick up the phone tells us to reach out to a different ************ get a new phone number. We called ************ and it sounds like the start to a fax machine then dead air. So we then reached out to Blue Cross Blue Shield of ********* are telling us that they can't help. I was told by one of there employees that it sounded like their employees may have assisted with finding Northern Plains Life but they are not connected to it.
