      Good luck with getting a live body in Provider Services. Ive called from opening to closing throughout the day. The automated system states that they are busy and to try the call later or use Availity. Call is immediately disconnected. Im a provider attempting to obtain authorization for a patient. Availity is not allowing me to submit an authorization request on this patient. I couldnt imagine the amount of denied cases these hospitals are retrospectively appealing for auth. BCBS of ND should immediately get out of the insurance business if its goal is to provide excellent patient care.

      I was dropped from my health insurance plan and did not know. I tried to figure out what happened as I was set up on auto pay and electronic billing and notifications. I never received an email stating that there was a problem. The next thing I know I am without insurance and there is nothing anyone can do. I need health insurance! I was told to contact the exchange and have them get permission to reinstate my insurance. Once I did that I got a phone call from a women that told tell me that they will not reinstate me and to call the exchange again. I am waiting for what is looking like nothing more than the run around.

      Poor ******************* services. I have been trying to contact this insurance company for a week and have called almost ************************************************************ to check Availity. That is always the first thing I do. Then I call insurance, because I work for a private health company and the benefits I am looking for are hearing related. They rarely have the full picture on Availity, so most (9/10) times I have to speak to a rep for confirmation. Every time I have called they say their reps are busy, or they are in a meeting, call back in a hour. That or call back later. Try our website, of which it says reps are busy, try back later. Then I'm checking more on the website, trying to fine a report or chat feature. Nothing. I understand a lot of places are having a hard time finding people, but this is ridiculous. Now their customer is frustrated with us and them for not having all the information after this long, and I am frustrated. Which takes a lot. Typically I would have this information within an hour. A week I have been trying and nothing. What a waste of my time. I'm trying to provide services and be upfront about the cost according to law and I can't do that w/o the full picture.

      I understand insurance companies try to deny everything, however this instance and denial is absurd. My 7 month was suffering from a severe stomach virus with all the associated issues that come with it (going to the bathroom uncontrollably). He was taken to a doctor who sent him to get a stool test in order to ensure there was not anything else that needed to be addressed. The insurance company, specifically the claims person without a medical degree, stated that my pediatrician was wrong and this test was not medically necessary. A stool test for a child with severe diarrhea, a novel idea apparently. They then went on to state in the denial this test was not warranted in people who had immune systems that were not weakened. So not only was my pediatrician wrong, apparently babies have immune systems that are comparable to those of adults and they should not be considered to be more at risk. I find it very enlightening that a young 7 month is now considered fully developed and their immune system is fully functional. Even worse, we were not notified our appeal was received and subsequently denied. When I called and asked to speak to someone with claims, I was told they were busy and would return my call. Not surprisingly, I never received a call from anyone. Would give 0 stars if possible
