I'm not sure who I spoke with on the phone, but they were extremely unprofessional. I presume it was the owner with the way he was talking.I called them in the morning/early afternoon to report to them that the guy mowing the lawn with the zero turn had accidentally flung rocks at the rear end of my car doing some minor damage to my rear bumper. A co-worker and I watched and heard it happen.I'd have moved my car, but it happened quiet quickly. It's only a small strip of weeds and gravel behind where I park my car, and honestly I didn't think anyone with some common sense would run a mower over it. It's more of a weed eater area with all the rocks and gravel. I was relaxing, talking to a co worker, when I heard the mower blades start hitting the rocks and gravel from recent neighboring construction. At that point it was already too late, he was at my car and despite me yelling at him, the operator kept going. They didn't answer the phone so I left a message. 5 PM rolls around and I didn't hear back so I called again. After 2 - 3 rings it went to voicemail. At first I presumed they were just busy but after speaking with them, I'm more on the side that they were actually avoiding answering my call.6 PM comes up and I still hadn't heard anything, ****** says they close at 7 so I call again. This time a guy answers, I didn't catch his name. Possibly ******. After I explain what had happened, he immediately goes into defensive mode and claims I'm making things up. I told him I saw it happen and he asked how I could see it happen through a wall. I told him again, a co-worker and I were out on break and saw it happen. It didn't matter, he continued to say things along the lines of his employee said it didn't happen, he's been scammed before, that I just want money out of him. He even said a truck on the highway may have flung a rock at my car, despite me telling him the damage was on my rear bumper. Again, despite saying we saw it happen, I was told it's impossible, there are guards on all four sides of the mower. I got a good look at the mower, and the front, left, and rear all did have a guard. Problem is, the driver was pointing the right side, the side that shoots debris, right at the rear of my car. and after ********* at the driver, he looped around and made a second, closer pass.Regardless, after I mention that even though I have a small crack on my front bumper, I still take excellent care of my car and know every scratch from frequent hand washing my car and have no reason to try and scam the business, the guy says to me, "you take good care of your car, but you have a cracked bumper?", and then hangs up on me.I've since reached out to my store manager who informed me that this isn't the first time Advantage Lawn Care damaged an employees vehicle. Last time, they owned up to their mistake and came to a proper resolution I was told.Despite their previous resolution, it happened again. They should be notifying commercial customers of their arrival and asking the owners or store manager to ensure all vehicles are out of the way. Especially when they just show up as they please and don't have a set schedule. This tells me they don't have any respect for their customers and that the employees are not adequately trained to do their job properly.Let this be a warning to other residents in ***********. This company is negligent, and the employees are dis-honest. If you hire them, don't expect to be compensated for any damages they cause without a fight. As for the quality of the mow, I'm no expert, but, I'd say it's on par with giving the neighborhood teenager $20 to do it.

      Business response

After reading the complaint and speaking with our mowing crew and ****** we feel that there is a lot of false information in the complaint.
****** spoke with the complainant and let him know that if he could get valid proof that Advantage caused the damage, we would cover the cost to get it fixed.  We spoke to both of our guys that were on that job.  The employee that was on the zero turn has no recollection of flinging any rocks toward any vehicle, and at all for that matter.  The other employee states that after talking to the complainant he did not notice any damages to the vehicle.  The complainant states that we do not have a guard on the right side of our mower which is false.  The guard goes all the way around the zero turn. The complainant also stated that he had spoken to his store manager and was told this has happened in the past to another employee's vehicle and the situation was resolved, this is false.  Advantage has never had this type of issue in the past let alone paid for any damages.  In fact, this is the first season that Advantage Lawn Care has taken care of this property.  We have also spoken with a manager and were never once made aware of this type of situation.
Again, if there was valid proof, not hearsay, we would gladly take care of the damage.
