I had a reservation for July 28 at this Days Inn. My husband and I checked in and I turned the bedding down. We then went to a concert at the state fair. When we arrived back to our room it felt damp and smelled like musty and or moldy. The bedding felt damp. We tried to sleep but after two hours had to leave. The front desk gave me the names of two ppl to get a refund. ***************** and ***************************** are the names. I was told to call later in the day of July 29. On that phone call I was told Days Inn cant refund me because it was booked through Booking.com. I telephoned Booking and was told Days Inn would have to refund the money to them first. At this time Booking.com told me that Days Inn refunded the money but still needs to email the amount that they refunded for legal purposes. I have made several phone calls to both parties and have not received my refund. Today August 11 ***************** lied to me on the phone with booking.com listening. ************ said there was no refund given to booking.com. ********* told me at a previous telephone call the money had been refunded and booking.com said there is a refund showing! *********** told me that ******** did not tell me that. He also said he can not contact booking.com because its third party. The charge was also about three times more than the average price they charge because the concert and fair were in town. Booking.com informed me that the refund was emailed Aug 5 at 8:41. Please help!Business response

*********************** did receive a full refund on August 4th 2023. I had already communicated with her that the refund was given and she would have to communicate with her credit card company on when to expect it to show on her account or contact Booking.com to see if they have refunded her yet. At this point it is out of our hands and she was refunding on our end. I have enclosed a copy of her folio showing the refund.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Days Inn did refund the money but the manager **** would not respond to release the refund. He called me a liar and hung up on me. When ******** came back from her vacation she contacted Booking.com. It was Booking that was waiting for Days Inn. It was Aug 16 before the refund was physically transferred back to me. Thank you for your help. *****
