I purchased a *********** from this dealership in March of 2022. This vehicle was an out of State purchase. I was told that the vehicle was inspected and was in top condition and the background information regarding the vehicle was known to the dealership by association of the vehicle owner. My dealings regarding this sale transaction were with Jeremy and Mike who is the sales manager. Initially I was reluctant about the out of state purchase but after speaking to both of them and after conducting some background research to find that the business had a A+ rating with the BBB, I felt confident with the decision to purchase. When the vehicle was shipped, I discovered that the electronic fuel gauge did not work. The gauge read 0 miles to empty but when I attempted to place fuel in it the vehicle would only take a few gallons to fill, The guage would not reflect the amount of fuel dispensed into the tank and would not indicate a fuel tank. I contacted Jeremy to let him know that there was an issue regarding this and another issue with the battery (the battery issue I was able to get resolved). I was told to get the vehicle looked at and diagnosed and told the words "We'll make it right". The first approximate estimate I received for the repair was $****. I told Mike that I had a appointment scheduled and that a true diagnostic would be performed to give me a true repair cost. Instead of the words "Well make it right" I was now being told they would need to see if the owner would be willing to take care of the problem. I constantly stated that all I want is for the dealership was to take care of this expense considering that it was admitted by Mike that this was something that was missed on their end. The total bill after the diagnosis ended up being $******* for parts and labor. Country Auto told me they would send me a check for a $*******. Basically I'm stuck with an additional out of pocket expense $****. I now own a vehicle with unknown fuel amount. BUYERS BEWARE!Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/05/19) */ To whom it may concern: The team at Country Auto was made aware of a potential fuel gauge or fuel level sensor issue with the 2014 ********** after Mr. ***** purchased it and taken delivery. He claimed there was a $***** to $***** bill to repair the issue and asked us to pay a portion. We agreed and paid $***** towards the bill for Mr. *****. We called **************** and they told us the part retail cost for this problem Mr. ***** was claiming to have was $*** + 1-2 hours of labor. Mr. ***** was super happy and pumped we would do that for him, and we at Country Auto all assumed this case was closed. Then Mr. ***** comes back weeks later and says the bill, or "final bill" in his words is actually $*****. We long had paid the $***** he requested, and asked for, and we did so even though we were not liable or had too. As he declined the warranty and bought the vehicle "sold as is". We did this in a good faith gesture, and he was very pleased. Now he claims, we owe him $***** more for a part that is $*** dollars. Also to add: even if it could be a whole instrument cluster, those cost $*****. We know the instrument cluster worked when the vehicle left, because it is digital and runs the whole screen, and the screen works and is not a part of Mr. ******* complaint. In closing, we feel that the $***** fee we paid is above and beyond what we needed to do and or required to do. Mr. ***** bought an 8-year-old used vehicle, and did so out of state, and declined any and all warranty options (Claiming he would purchase a service agreement through his bank). Country Auto has done all they can to help and remedy Mr. ***** situation. Best Regards, Mike ********
