We received your complaint today regarding the **** ******* ****** ********** account. We do not have any account on file in your name. We believe you have the wrong financial institution. We are Columbus Bank and Trust Company in Columbus, Nebraska, a small locally owned financial institution in a town of approx. 22,000 people. There are other “Columbus Banks” in the USA and we are sometimes mistaken for the Columbus Bank in Columbus, Georgia. They are a very large bank and a major credit card issuer near a military base. Your reference to a military credit union, and the fact that you live in Georgia also supports our claim that you have the wrong financial institution.
To the best of our knowledge and research we do not, nor have we ever had your account. So, we can safely say that you do NOT owe Columbus Bank and Trust Company in Columbus, Nebraska any funds, nor have we reported any late payment history or outstanding balance. I regret that we cannot help you further; but recommend that you research your account a little further to get the correct Columbus Bank to file your complaint against.
