I wouldn't buy a bicycle from this clown show of a business. They got once but will never get another dollar from this guy. Worst company to ever do business with. You better have your own mechanic with you before you purchase. They will lie and hide everything to sell you a P.O.S.

NOT CUSTOMER FREINDLY! I HAVE BEEN BUYING EQUIPMENT FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE OUT FOR RITCHIE BROS ONLY! I PURCHASED A 2021 CAT 320 GX IN FLORIDA, THEY SAY IT IS EXPORT ONLY. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF A MACHINE NOT COMING TO USA THAT IS IN USA. THEY SAY IT IS IN THEIR LOT AND IT WILL NEED TO BE RESOLD! 13% EVERY TIME THEY SELL IT, DOES MAKE SENCE WHY IT IS A GREAT DEAL FOR RB AUCTIONS!! THE REP SAID JUST PUT IT UP FOR AUCTION AGAIN, SOMONE MY BUY IT JUST LIKE YOU DID, THEN IT WILL BE OFF YOUR HANDS, THIS IS AN UNLAWFUL BUSSINESS! AND YES, RB AUCTIONS IS GOING TO CHARGE YOU STORAGE FEES. I AM TURNING AWAY FROM BUYING AT RB AUCTIONS AND I HOPE ALL WHO READ THIS GET THE MESSAGE. STAY CLEAR!

They Lie! Don't buy into their IRON CLAD BS. They don't and won't stand behind anything they sell on their site. I've spent thousands over the years with these pukes and the stuff is always broke of missing something and I just dealt with it. Not a big deal most of the time. I've filed several return requests and they just hide behind the fine print. Oh you removed it so therefore you can't return it or did you call a repair company to get a report on what's wrong. This last one ticked me off though. In there description they said parts have not been functionally tested. When I got them the parts were functionally not there. Their response from their really dumb customer service team was that I didn't study the product enough and that I should've seen the parts that were missing. Their IRONCLAD insurance is not what it implies, it's BS and I'm done with these people! They'd rather loose you as a customer than do what's right. Buyer beware! Since July 2019 I spent almost 75K and they we're all to happy to give me the boot and let me go as a customer...

Worst auction to deal with. I never leave bad reviews but people need warned about this company. Can’t get ahold of anyone to fix the tax exempt status. They then tell me I need a 3rd party to pick the item up unless I pay the tax. I’m tax exempt and can’t pick up my item. Extremely shady company!

Not to contradict the tremendous amount of bad reviews, but my experience and purchase was flawless. Caveat: I bought through their "Marketplace E", which is a reselling market for similar equipment that you get at regular auction, so maybe processes (or at least personnel) are slightly different, but this is still part of the Ritchie Bros services, and for me this service worked perfectly. I found a refurbished HMMWV that I liked on their Marketplace E. I placed an offer for the vehicle and waited the 2 business days for what I expected would be an accept, decline, or counter offer. After 4 business days I called the Ritchie Bros sales department to see what was up. They informed me that the seller had set a low-end, so my offer was deemed unacceptable and was therefore classified as "invalid". It probably would have been nice to know that "invalid" was another option, but they do provide you a number to call in the event that you have questions about your offer. So I guess if you are a serious bidder, you will call the number, which is exactly what I did. They explained the reason that my bid was stuck, they offered to call the seller and mediate a fair price for me, and I truly believe that I got a fair price. I received the title for the HMMWV before it even arrived, and the HMMWV I received was exactly as advertised by the seller. If I had to say something negative (or really "informative") for the buyer, it's that don't be off-put by the extreme inconsistency in business names. I read this on a review, so I knew what to expect, but it was still a little unnerving to see. In my case, I found a vehicle on GovPlanet, thought the pictures were watermarked as IronPlanet, when I called sales they answered as IronPlanet, yet when they called Caller ID said Ritchie Bros, and Invoice went through TruckPlanet! Crazy and confusing, but if you expect it before you start, then you just roll with it through the process.

Transaction fees are basically a legal form of theft. $100 for any item under $12k per lot. Plus they get commission from the seller as well. This needs to get regulated.

HORRIBLE COMPANY. HUGE SCAM. Bought a $140 item and they charged a "$100 Minimum Fee". They hide behind the "you agreed to our terms" language. Disgraceful on how they can get away with this. No one should use this company. Had no issue paying normal buyer's premium. But a fee that almost doubles the price??? Find a better auctioneer. It won't be hard!
