There is no "H" in FARMERS MUTUAL; because they do not know the meaning of "Honor." My brother, Daniel J. B******* dutively paid the premiums on the house where our family lived for over thirty years; paying the insurance premiums. My Father;GOD REST HIS SOUL;believed in FARMERS MUTUAL. He was betrayed. Thank GOD; he was not here to witness the betrayal of our family. The water heater; in the basement; exploded and sent a column of fire up the the basement stairs intoo the attic. This caused an attic fire that destroyed the attic and the whole house was incinerated. The water damage from the FIRE DEPT's water and foam totaled the house. It was a total loss. Now was the time for FARMERS MUTUAL to step in and save the day. But; they acted in reckless disregard. They demanded that my brother repurchase all of his personal items before they would reimburse him for his for his tragic loss. My brother does not have the money or the time to buy a new set of WORLD BOOK ENCYCLOPEDIAS. Nor does he have the time and money to all his personal items. FARMERS MUTUAL'S betrayal was complete. I seriously doubt that this is industry standard.Farmers Mutual of Nebraska Response

Their client rear ended me and now they tell me they will not fix the car, in this market I cannot replace my car for what they offer. I did not total my car I didn't even wreck it but their client caused all the damage. Now Farmers Mutual will not stand behind there name. I'm not asking for anything extra, I just need my car put back into the condition it was prior to farmers mutual client rear ending me. I'm sure they get this complaint all the time but if they have not adjusted there payouts to reflect local economic conditions IE: used car replacement value. Unfortunately, once again you are mistaken the offer has been made and it is unacceptable, your client rear ended me and you want me to pay you 1077 to be able to own my car that I already own?
I only want one thing, Fix my car to pre accident condition, I want nothing extra from your company.
Prior to the accident my car was in great shape as I maintain it that way. Please relook at what your offering. I implore you to see the reason behind your judgement of devaluing the car to a total loss.
Bottom line I just need Farmers Mutual to stand behind there company and client and take care of this situation that I had no say in.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
This is by far the greediest and worst insurance company I've ever had in my entire life!!!! Treat you like you're stupid. Absolutely terrible horrendously bad customer service!!!! Faulty website and app causing false cancellations and you can't ever get anyone to call back until after it's too late and then you're at fault for their incompetence! And then straight up lie to you!! There's a reason they're cheap *****************************

We're sorry to hear that our service did not meet your expectations. While we understand that you are frustrated, the accusations made against Farmers Mutual of Nebraska are without merit. Multiple team members, as well as your agency of record, have been in contact with you despite the unacceptable behavior and comments on your part directed toward us on social media, email, contact forms, and phone calls. During each of these discussions, we've clearly described our billing procedures and the practices we must consistently adhere to because of how insurance companies are regulated. Your Auto Insurance policy was cancelled due to nonpayment while on our Flex Payment Plan. The periodic, partial payments you chose to make instead of the billed installment amount was not sufficient to fulfill the premium balance due by the stated deadline to keep the policy in force. Our decision to not reinstate the policy has been communicated with you and your independent agent. Additionally, contact information for the Nebraska Department of Insurance was given to you.

Absolutely no customer service was provided explaining any possible issues with any on time payments before my insurance was cancelled despite the numerous messages I left. I was even told it could be reinstated but apparently was lied to. Which is fine I wouldn't wish your business on my worst enemy. Had there been any actual customer service provided by your company maybe there would have been no need for any negative reviews of my experience. My local agent is amazing!! FM however is down right horrible! I have every right to feel the way I do and share with others the horrible experience I faced because of your complete lack of customer service, concern, and understanding of your members. Maybe one day you'll understand what it's like from someone else's shoes.Review from John K

i checked with james ****** , farmers mutual ins , 8 months ago and he told me he could not insure my then today i get a bill for 8 months ins . does anyone let someone go 8 months without sending a bill then expect me to pay him for the insurance ive had with another company for 8 months and thats not even going into his rudeness or his belittlingFarmers Mutual of Nebraska Response

We're sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with your experience. After receiving your review, we contacted your independent agent as well as looked at your policy notes. Back in February of 2021, you visited the agent and were quoted Homeowners and Auto, but opted to only proceed with a Farmers Mutual of Nebraska Homeowners policy. Eight months later, the down payment premium you paid has run out and a bill was then generated to continue coverage. You reached out to your agent regarding the bill, and the agent stated that your policy is in force and a cancellation request was never received for the Homeowners policy. You just informed him, during that call, that you placed coverage elsewhere back in February. The agent asked for you to send him a copy of the Declarations Page for your current Homeowners policy so that he could get your premium refunded from Farmers Mutual of Nebraska. We were informed that you did not agree to do this. Please contact your agent directly if you'd like to take next steps for a refund, or if you'd like to discuss your experience further with someone from the Home Office, please submit an inquiry to *******************.Customer Response

*********** i was told in the office that i was uninsurable ,UNINSURABLE, ***************** i have a copy of what my insurance company sent him 10/13/2021, i took my business elsewhere , what would you think , insurance rep. tells you your uninsurable thats the end and i have provided proof that i had insurance with another company on 03/02/2021 so why would i start insurance with him on 03/08/21 , , insurance fraud is what its called
