5/12/ I was told to pay for ***** to check my home for Racoons.$75.00 after getting home he advise I would need to pay additional 962.50 to get started which I did. H e did caught two opposses and after no racoons were trapped, he called and advise he would be out of town so if anything got in the trap he wouldn't be here to get them out. He didn't call me when he returned so at this time it seen that was not going anyplace and needed these animals out of my home. After talking to the Consumer Protection i AND Human Service Rep at the hospital he told all these people he was going send my money back. Now I have somebody that will do the work and no money.. I don't think he doesn't have the funds he is just running over me I am 69 year old and don't have money for small claim court.. But why do I have to pay a company to get my money back and the smell is really making me sick.

      My reply so far:

We charge an inspection fee to do the initial inspection for everyone, the fee starts at $75 and goes up depending on the distance we travel.  *** ***** lives in Omaha so that is what we charged for that service and distance.

We do an inspection of the issue, damages caused by wildlife and put together an estimate based on what we find and then present that to the customer.

$1925 was the total of the estimate presented to her, she agreed to hire us to do the work.  We require the customer to pay 50% down and then the remaining 50% when the work is complete.  This is how we do it with all customers.

This is where the red flags started showing up to us from *** ******  She began to complain as if the issue was our fault and that she had been dealing (even setting traps her self) with it for several weeks before we came and what we were doing would not work etc. I offered to remove the traps, camera equipment and give her a full refund and that I could come by the following day to do that.  She didn’t want us to do that and wanted to stay on course with the plan so that is what we did.

We trapped for several weeks for the raccoons.  During this time the communication stopped coming back from ********  As a result we removed our traps and game camera on June 7th.  We were still working to catch the raccoons in her attic but because she would not communicate we had no choice but to stop trapping until we could see what was going on, if she was still hearing the activity in the attic and seeing signs they were still there.

June 8th we received a complaint filed with the Attorney General by *** ******  She had made not any attempts to contact us, answer our attempts to reach her, ask us to change the plan if it was not working, escalate to the next level of getting the raccoons removed etc.

At that point I again offered to refund her, but this time - minus the trapping fee of $350 which is a service we provided for several weeks.

She doesn’t want to pay for anything.  All I am asking her to pay is for the services provided and I will refund her the remaining $612.50 immediately.

Total estimate submitted to *** *****: $1925.00. She accepted the proposal and paid $962.50 and the inspection fee of $75.  I got a weird vibe immediately and offered a full refund and she did not want to stop services.  She wanted us to stay with the plan.

I trapped for several weeks and caught several animals but was still trapping for the raccoons living in her attic.

She never called me to complain, she never asked me to stop trapping and ask for a refund.  Instead she ignored my attempts to call her, she contacted the BBB and the county attorney instead then wouldn’t answer my calls or texts.

I removed my traps etc because she wouldn’t communicate and waiting to hear from her, that is when I learned she had reached out to everyone else.

I then offered a refund minus the trapping fee of $350 but she wanted it all.

Now she wins by reversing the charge to get the entire amount refunded….and the scammer wins again!

This is a no win for a business because the scammer always gets away with it, always.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I advise I would give Mr BoLAND  the $200 which I have.  He stated that he new something was wrong and he would return the funds now why don't he..I did what I said I would do .  If I was such a bad why would I have trusted him with my money in the first place.  I guess we are going to small claims court from here

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****
