I have become acquainted with Concorde Management & Development several times in the past 5 years. I've found Aaron, Patrick, Dave, Dana and Matt all to be very helpful and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise.

********************** has completed laundry room & bathroom remodels at my home, Concorde facilitated a commercial property sale and several purchases. They also manage the multi family properties for us. Just great people to work with.

      Thank you.

We just finished moving in. As we were moving at 11p (because we needed to leave our previous apartment ASAP all before NYE) we saw cockroaches. I only say 1 first night, thought it was a small bug, then the next few days of dropping off boxes, more and more cockroaches.

Even cockroaches DEAD and uncleaned in the pantry, in the closets, and the kitchen!! Completely disgusting!!

The whole apartment is built like crap. Bad caulk job in the bathtub so they can blame you for mold when your lease is up. There's literally parts where there are holes in the caulk line around the whole tub.

The fridge and oven have completely destroyed door seals. Perfect for the cockroaches to lay eggs in your food so you can overcook them when you stick your meals in the oven! Gross.

If it wasn't because of a pandemic, and the lack of availability for apartments during the holiday season while also being in a timecrunch, I honestly would have never bothered looking here. At this rate I'd rather be outside in the cold weather than living in a trash place like this.

Check out the whole 15 minute video on YouTube!

      Concorde Management & Development Response

      01/14/2022

      Hi Carlos,
I've held off on responding to this review as I knew the property manager was working with you to address your concerns. It was our understanding that you would update your reviews once the issues had been resolved, but neither have the reviews been updated, nor have any more complaints been filed.
The cockroaches you were seeing yes, were due to an infestation brought about recently by the tenant who vacated. There were a lingering one or two that you still saw alive and a few that you saw that were dead. We do apologize that due to the timing of your move in and some happenstance within the office, your unit was not walked prior to your move in to ensure the cleaners had been through a final time after the last treatment. That was our mistake and one we have repeatedly owned up to.
Additionally, because that walkthrough was not completed, the faulty light bulb in the hallway and the missing closet doorknob were not caught to have maintenance correct before your move in. The majority of the items you've marked and pointed out in your video are wear and tear from an apartment that was originally built in 1985 and the reason why you receive a move in inspection sheet so as to not be charged for those defects upon your own move out. Not only did you assume the worst of Concorde (claiming we were planning to charge you for everything), but rather than giving us the chance to correct our error, you took to the portal (which is not monitored after hours) to enter your work orders at 5am on a Sunday morning, immediately reviewed us on Google and BBB, and posted your video. Had you simply called management, we would have immediately apologized for our mistakes and addressed your concerns then.
If you still maintain that you would rather be elsewhere, we will be happy to terminate your lease and refund your deposit.

      Customer Response

      01/14/2022

We had a conference call with the Nisha and her management team about this. You told me to change my review on the phone. I told you it was an honest review and that I would update it with a new comment once you have fixed all the issues in this apartment. Not all the maintenance requests have been fulfilled. This is why I havent updated any of my reviews. Finish your part and I will complete mine.

The faulty light fixture in the hallway is still flickering.

Your cleaner came to clean a few things, left more of a mess, and missed some of the important parts I addressed. There was white droplets of cleaning spray on the wall where the stove rests, because they sprayed to clean the stove hood vent, but they sprayed and didn't clean the walls. They cleaned the inside of the bathtub, but they didn't clean the outside wall of the tub? They also sprayed cleaner in the bathroom wall trying to clean the towel bar on the wall, but they didn't dry off the droplets and now it streaked and stained your wall. The tops of the door trim were never cleaned, and neither were the closets, I still have the same dead bug I reported the first time in the same closet...so when you say:
"Not only did you assume the worst of Concorde (claiming we were planning to charge you for everything)".
My respons is, you have multiple google reviews with many maintenance concerns where you claim you fixed the issues (the major one being pest infestation), but then the same tenant responds with another review on how the problems is still persistent, even though you claimed you solved it.

With that said, how am I suppose to assume your best when your tenants are leaving reviews claiming the opposite? This was the first impression I got of how Concorde handles business, so it would be safe for my best interests to assume that Concorde Management would handle other business related concerns in the same way.

You think I wouldn't have known you could have fixed these issues if I reported them to concord management?
      1. I reported them at 5am because I was moving boxes from my old apartment to the new one that you leased to me. What better way to show initiative on getting the issues solved than by submitting a ticket when I see the problem?

      2. Nisha said this to the work orders in her email she sent next Monday morning.

"That being said, there is a right and wrong way to go about issues with your apartment. Spamming our portal with 26 work orders on a Sunday is not the right way".

I still stand firm with my response:
"1. It is my responsibility to report any problems with the apartment in a timely manner and that requires submitting a work order through the portal". I will also add, the user portal is available to submit maintenance requests 24/7. It doesn't mean that you have to finish them within the deadline. But it's there to submit requests 24/7 and when maintenance comes back during work hours, they will respond and fix the issues.

So why complain about the time I submitted the work orders? You're gonna get to them anyway during work hours? Don't offer us the liberty to submit maintenance requests 24/7 if you're going to complain about when you received them? An no, im not asking for you to fix them the moment you' get them, take the appropriate amount of time you need.

Last thing to comment on your response.
      You said:
"If you still maintain that you would rather be elsewhere, we will be happy to terminate your lease and refund your deposit".

      My response:
On our conference call we came to the agreement that I would stay for the length of my lease as long as you fix my problems I had with the apartment. The biggest concern being the cockroaches. I said if I see signs of the infestation growing I would consider having a mutual agreement to end our lease. As long as you are doing your part in keeping cockroaches out of my apartment, I won't consider ending the lease.

Then, we agreed that we are at the end phase of treatment. Which made me feel confident that concorde management was doing the right thing to handle my 1 major problem I have with the apartment.

So far, there were only 4 live cockroaches I have seen crawling on the walls and ceiling. That was before we had our conference call. Still 1 dead bug left from the lack of attention to detail during the 2nd cleaning.

If you are having more miscommunication problems with your team in regards in regards to my lease, you should go talk to them.

      When I say:
"At this rate I'd rather be outside in the cold weather than living in a trash place like this".

      Then, you say:
"If you still maintain that you would rather be elsewhere, we will be happy to terminate your lease and refund your deposit".

You're trying to do the right thing for me, as an unhappy tenant.
But it also means that you might not be able to avoid it from being trashy. Trashy being bugs, faulty light fixtures, and other lease concerns.
Should I be worried you can't do your half of the lease?
