      Well,I've been dealing with ace rent to own in council bluffs for quite some years now and after reading these reviews and seeing for myself how they've been treating a friend of mine it makes me wonder what they've done to me without me realizing it bcuz I'm sure they have now but they keep screwing my friend over on his payments and or even items that he ordered that turned out not being what he ordered and me witnessing him making his payments that are paid on time ,somehow he's being charged $80 for late fees just yesterday on furniture he's only been late making a payment on which was yesterday and late fees are only $5 when u pay monthly and we get to looking at his paperwork and it's not even the furniture he ordered needless to mention that the furniture was used but special ordered,ha ha ha on used furniture ,special ordered,ya right and not only that the contract was dated for the date he was suppose to receive the furniture 10/13/23 but the contract was written up 10/03/23 but he didnt even get the furniture until Dec.just before Xmas and he even paid oct and dec.payments but didnt pay for nov bcuz he still had not yet have the furniture. He paid $97 .15 in October and they're saying he only paid .01 . I know for sure that's a lie bcuz I've been with him Everytime he's made his payments. I've bought a lot of stuff from kids toys to furniture,tvs,etc from this same place thru the years and I'm wanting new living room,dinette and kitchen sets now but am real leery on buying from these guys again so I've been looking at rent a center and Aaron's for all these sets of furniture bcuz ive bought stuff from them as well and was treated right and received discounts and etc.etc. I just wish theyd do my friend better than they are and quit screwing him around. A lot of my family and friends go to ace bcuz of me now anyways but I'm about to take all that business wherever I decide to purchase my furniture sets from now on.

      Constant harassment payment was due on the 6th and today is the morning of the 8th and they called people on my contact list on top of my number and leaving messages I always pay weekly and not missed a payment and this is how I get treated I am beyond mad and they refused to tell me what my pay off is… I am beyond frustrated and will never do business with them again… And also had to pay a $60 down payment just to prove I’m serious about the item and when I asked the manager at told me that it would be applied to the item and when I asked about the credit he said it goes to the store not the item I misunderstood him…

      Never ever again. I rented a PlayStation 5 and faithfully made payments for the first 10 months. Roughly 180 a month for 10 months is 1800 already paid toward PlayStation which is crazy. My husband got sick with congestive heart failure and had to stop working. They sent me to collections in the amount of 1700 so in total 3500 for a PlayStation? I get going though these places it will cost me more than just buying it but 6x as much is ridiculous. They would NEVER tell me how much I had left to pay or give me a balance. Called my job several times a day even after I told them to stop. I got in trouble. Just don’t shop there. Shady business practices and people

      I've done business with this company for over 20 years. I found out recently that money for my payments was not being applied to my accounts the way I wanted it to be. Instead of being applied directly to my accounts, my money was being placed in their computer system under "receivable". I went to this business to pay off my table and found out that not only did my last 2 accounts never get paid off but they were 3 weeks past due. And the table that I was intending on paying off was going to cost me over $200 to pay off. They got their table back and my last two accounts were "given to me for free" according to the associate working there. I am more than disappointed and not only will I never do business with this company again, but I will tell anyone who asks that Ace rent to own is nothing more than a scam company that preys on people who are low income and/or have low credit.

      My husband and I have been doing business with them for about 15 years now. We have purchased everything from them. Paid everything off as well. I owe them nothing!!! My husband bought me a tablet for Christmas a couple years ago brand new never used and I accidentally cracked the front of the screen. One of the workers told me since it was under contract it was covered and I had no charge. Well I got the tablet back and they told me it was ***.00 to replace the screen. Well I was told different and didn't have to pay. Well when they brought me my tablet back it had a black blemish under the screen and it wasn't fixed. The guy told me I had to spend the *** and have it sent back to replace the screen. I said absolutely not! I didn't mess it up and send it out saying it was fixed. So he told me he had a used tablet worked fine. So I said sure. So when he brought me the tablet you can tell it wasn't new. It was shorting out and I told him. He let me know if they got a new one they would tell me. Well I paid full price for a new tablet and paid full price for a used one. I now have a broken tablet screen again and it won't keep a charge that I DID tell the employee about. Now that it's paid off I can't find a place to fix the screen because no one has a screen big enough. I called ACE and they won't do anything because it's paid off. So we got screwed twice. Once for buying a tablet and buying it at full price for a used and all ready damaged tablet. But also buying this tablet that no one can fix. And all ACE will say is well sorry your account is closed now. I know it is. Because everything is paid off!! And no one bothered to get in touch with us over the tablet. Ya time has passed because after all people have jobs and families to take care of. But they have no problem harrasing you over a payment or to come get your paperwork after you pay something off. But can't look out for customers and treat them with respect. Done purchasing anything from them again!!

      I have been doing business with Ace Rent to Own for a few years off and on. It wasn’t until I went to the O Street Location that things started to get nasty. The O Street store has decided to “Extort” me on my XBOX and my speaker. When I went in to the store in December of 2022, the employee Edward gave me a Good News Credit in the amount of $1150.92. I signed the contract for the Xbox 1x on 12/23/2022 and for the speaker on 12/24/2022. The speakers cash Price is 129.99 and the Xbox Cash price is 971.17. Ace gives you 4 months same as Cash which means my last day is April something 2023. The credit has paid off the items and actually gives me a balance due to me of: $49.76. But instead of abiding by the 4 months same as cash, they want an additional (for long term weekly payments if you did not do the same as cash in 4 months deal) of $892.51. I have read the policies front to back and vice versa and the Nebraska Laws and they are breaking their rules and the law. I have tried to talk to Store Management and Mike the District Manager about the Credit amount that was sent to me from Edwards email but Edward has decided to hide it because he was only supposed to give me 1 credit if I believe right. But because he messed up and could get in trouble, he has decided to either hide it from management or management has decided to exhort me. I am sport that I’m not gullible and ignorant. I overpaid by almost $50.00 and instead of getting my products purchased in full with there “Same as Cash in 4 Months” deal, I get the we want more money deal. I will either be filing arbitration or Small Claims Court unless someone at Ace Rent to Own can be honest and admit their mistake. PAYNE A.

      I have been paying on a Playstation 5 since January of last year. I just recently went over how much I have been paying and it is close to $2000. The Playstation 5 is only $500. When I called to see how much I had left I was told that I still owed close to $1000 because I didn't pay it off before a certain point. So overall I would be paying close to $3000 for a $500 item. I don't see how this is even legal. I had previously bought two other items before from them and probably overpaid on those as well. I do not recommend ACE to anyone.

      The workers at the ace rent to own on *********************** location keep calling claiming I still owe them more payments when I have already paid off my 1 year rental agreement contract in full plus over payments. I started I signed up for a 1 year pay off payment plan on april 14, 2021.
      And here it is Dec. 2022 and haven't missed any payments at all. Even returned my living room set couch, love set, and end tables. They owe me 1 year plus 7 months worth of overpay. Please, help! Something needs to be done about all this. Sincerely, Mrs. ***

      I have had many accounts over the years with ACE ( I know not the brightest or most economical decision). I have not had any issues up until recently. Account payoffs seem inaccurate and no employee will tell you the same info. I have tried to pay off accounts in full and up until I spoke with a DM was able to do so. After paying off accounts they still call you one to 2 times a day and your references to ask for payment on items that are paid off?

      They have refused to fix my couch for over 3 months and keep saying they can't get the part they keep showing up expecting me to pay for something that's broke they told me if I pay it off they won't fix it aweful customer service and they only care about money and not the customer or the needs plus the over charge **** I'll never use this place again!!!
