Two days ago, I took my car for an oil change and they ruined my car. They forgot to screw in the box that keeps the car from getting rocks. I discovered it when I got home. We took the car to **** ******* **** at 4pm and they fixed it right away for freeBusiness response

We did service the lady's car. There is a bottom cover that is flimsy plastic/fiber material that gets damaged when driving in ice, mud or sand. The fasteners also wear out from removal and re-intstall. We try to have spare hardware on hand to try to replace said fasteners. We have had many issues with these covers and consider it a manufacturer's poor design. We deal with it on a daily basis the best we can. The technician spent an extra 5 minutes trying to secure the cover. The lady did call and claimed we "ruined her car" and she wanted a refund. I tried to explain the defect and offered to try to fix it for her, but she hung up. She also posted on ******** that we "ruined her car". We will not refund the cost of the service-it was done properly. I would pay for the new fasteners which were free as it should be. I'm sure the dealership has a large inventory of fasteners and is ashamed to charge customers because of a design fault. Thank you for the opportunity to tell my side of the dispute. JC

I am rejecting this response because:The company is lying. I just had those replaced last year. In ****** *** I can have a friend testify.

I did not lie. The consumer reinforces my point of defective parts/fasteners that need to be replaced every year. The **** garage in ***** ****** fixed her (and ******) problem at no cost this year. Who "ruined her car" last year in ****** when the failed fasteners were replaced? We did the best we could with the materials we had. File a complaint with the **** ***** *******. I am not going to respond regarding this issue again, and may take legal action concerning the ******** post.
