Called me for a debt I had already paid and after I had sent written notice to them that I contest the debt. The woman I spoke to at Clear Together spoke to me as though I was an idiot, explained that I was confused on which debt, tried to explain who my health care providers are to me, and then kept interrupting me as I asked her to pause so I could try to look up the payment information and date to prove that this debt was settled. She called me on a Saturday morning no less, and was rude and talked down to me the entire time. I told her to go back to her client and confirm the debt was settled and it was paid prior to them ever even writing me to collect the debt. I finally had to hang up because she kept interrupting me to tell me information that was incorrect.

Lady was very rude and hung up on me because i questioned a bill. They claim i owe for a CHI visit in September of 2023 but i know i was never there and when i call CHI they have no record either. When i tried to explain this to the lady from Clear recovery she got irritated and said CHI has no clue what they are talking about. She said she was killing my account (what ever that means) and hung up on me. If i owe then i owe and ill pay but i know i wasnt at CHI anytime for that claimed visit. They just want paid and get irritated if you question anything.

Cold call recieved while asking for personal information but provided no reason for the call or nature of business. Seemed like a scammer so called back after looking them up and then confirmed name and phone number. Company still refused to provide reason for nature of call, instead asking for additional personal details. Not something I'm willing to do. Instead of stating the nature of the business agent hung up on me. Based on the name of the company seems a scam debt. I am not aware of any delinquent debt and have recieved no other bills and having seen the reviews online even went so far as to call the known medical provider(s) I've had and confirmed all my debts had been previously paid with none sent to collections. In short, I will not make payments on a phantom debt that a company cannot provide details for, is likely illegitimate and somehow the company doesn't know how or where to mail correspondence.

Megan L******* is one of the names I received, very unprofessional. Rather than the company calling and informing me "this is an attempt to collect a debt" - they play games. They called me, asking "Who is this", and when asked who was calling and what this was about they demanded I provide my name, after they called me, and with no announcement of who they were or why they were calling. This company clearly has little training and little oversight on how to properly conduct business through the phone. When calling back to speak with a manager the associates answering the phone A. Refuse to let you speak to a manager B. Refuse to provide even the first name of a manager and C. Refuse to provide a phone number to contact to escalate. I would love to pay my bill - CHI is known for having a very inept and inefficient billing system and provide an individual bill for each line item on a bill, which is very likely why numerous debts Clear Recovery is asked to track down are CHI Bill related.

If I could give zero stars I would The lady called me and started asking very personal questions and then told me she had the right when I questioned it. She then got very rude when I told her I refused to answer any more personal questions including am I married or where my child’s father was. I understand they they are bill collectors and there is job is to collect money but some information is not for their knowledge. Absolutely rude and disrespectful.

I am not able to find a recent account under the name of Rachel R******. Any further comments from me would be speculation. If she wishes she may call me directly at 402-201-2784. This may allow me to locate the correct account and take action to understand what took place on the call.

Completely forgot about a medical bill from 2022 (I blame the rona). Clear Recovery came calling and, ugh, I would never want that job. I can only imagine the rudeness these folks have to endure. I didn't pay my bill, and I don't recall getting a late notice, but who am I kidding, I probably tossed it. Anyhow, being a grownup - I intended to pay what I owe. I asked the gal if I could negotiate the balance if I paid it today. And wouldn't you know, she did negotiate and knocked nearly a third of the balance off!! All I'm saying is - sugar gets you farther along than salt. Don't blame the person doing the calling - blame yourself if you eff'd up or blame the entity that eff'd up. That's all I got. Have a great day!

I would also give a 0 rating if able. I know collection agencies are known for being rude, but this group is beyond. I had a beautiful baby boy last October, and unfortunately I chose to go to Bergan to have my delivery. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. It turns out that CHI anesthesiology has a completely incompetent billing department. Although I gave the admitting desk my insurance card, my ID, and all up to date demographic information, they apparently threw all of this in the trash and instead billed an old insurance plan that we changed 7 years ago after I had my first son at Bergan. They then, I'm guessing, mailed a statement to our previous address, which was then not forwarded. Instead of trying to call me, as I have had the same phone number for 15+ years, they instead sent my full balance to CLEAR RECOVERY collection agency. All I have to say is that Clear Recovery is run by garbage humans. They harass hard working people who pay for health insurance, only to be told that they should pay their medical bills full price and out of pocket. Eventually the lady there told me she would send a claim to my insurance company, but this was after arguing with her for well over 15 minutes about how insurance works. By this point I was done. I have never been treated so poorly IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. This should not be allowed. I did nothing wrong. Clear Recovery is bullying and harassing people into paying money that they DO NOT OWE. These people are absolute scum of the earth. Period.

Justine ***********, Vice President of billing, agreed to credential me for my new private practice in August (something she reports she has done many times). My practice was set to open December 1, 2022. In order to get credentialed I had to start paying rent and phone service to have an address and phone number for the applications. Ms. *********** emailed me early September saying she had submitted applications to the insurance carriers I had requested. Mid-November she told me I was credentialed with two carriers. She never forwarded me acceptance letters. I started calling all carriers end of November to inquire about pending applications.

Ms. *********** had never sent applications to any carrier. When I alerted her of this end of November, she sent an application to two out of seven carriers that day. She sent the wrong information that day, but I did not find out until 1 month later for one of them and 6 weeks later for the other. I also sent an email with a spreadsheet of all of the carriers I needed to be credentialed with and what the next steps needed to be. I asked her to let me know if I needed to have someone else take over at that point. I have received no communication from Ms. *********** since that email in early December.

I began doing all of my own credentialing. Ms. *********** assured me all insurance companies will back date to December 1st. So far two of the seven are refusing to back date. I have lost so much income because of Ms. ***********. I have had to use savings and lines of credit to cover the costs of my business, my office manager, and my personal life. I met with Ms. *********** today. She was very professional and patient. She informed me nothing like this has ever happened to her before with another client. She had no other explanation for her lack of integrity, dependability, and respect.

I would give a 0 if I could. Called me constantly leaving voicemails but wouldn't say what they wanted. When I finally answered what I thought was spam, a rude lady asked for my name, which I verified. She then asked for me to verify my address and I stated I would not do that over the phone, she quickly said I will be getting a letter by them in the mail and hung up on me. Rude and not professional.

      Ms. *********,

I am sorry that our attempts to contact you caused you discomfort. Unfortunately, we are prohibited by federal law to explain the purpose of our calls over voicemails.

We are also regulated by state and federal laws to make certain that we are speaking with the correct party when we make contact with an individual. That is why we ask for a second identifier, such as address. This is to protect the privacy of our intended recipient of our call.

Ms. ****** only mentioned the letter as a reference that you could use to help you identify the purpose of the call.

This was NOT a voicemail. I spoke to this very rude person ON the phone. Hence why I stated she hung up on me. This individual asked me to verify my name, which I did, and then asked for my address, which I did NOT confirm, and then hung up on me. No one in their right mind will give their info to some random person on the phone who is rude, short, and didn't give me ANY info on who she was or who the company was. She did not mention any 'letter' she simply said, we will send you something in the mail, and I NEVER even confirmed my address. Ever. So she sent random junk mail to a random person. Because that was not my address. Do better. Be more professional.
