Review Heading - BUYER BEWARE!
BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT:
The name AKSARBEN Concrete was misleading because they subcontracted my driveway/sidewalk job to ****** Concrete. ******'s crew appears to be mostly (if not all) illegal aliens.
Kirk ****** (owner) and Ray ***** (Managing Partner) from AKSARBEN Concrete were very slow to respond to my concerns. The one (1) day job turned into a seven (7) nightmare. They were quick with emails, texts, and platitudes, but they did not deliver on their promises to resolve the damages to my sprinkler system, have ****** properly backfill the voids where the 'forms' were removed and clean-up the fist-sized concrete, dirt clods and trash left on my lawn by the ****** Crew.
The ****** Concrete crew's handling and finish of the concrete was questionable. 50% of the 'broom finish' of the concrete surface was inconsistent and looked unprofessional, and they left a low spot on my back patio/driveway that puddles with water. Additionally, the crew was called back to fill the voids left when they removed the forms. It was obvious they had very little respect for my property, and the property of my next-door neighbor. They left trash in my yard and my neighbor's yard and their overall cleanup of concrete residue and dirt clods was unacceptable.
After seven (7) days of dodging the issues, Kirk called me and made a comment that 'he was not sure my sprinkler system was working before the driveway job began'. I informed him I would not stand for him trying to weasel out of fixing my sprinkler system and completing the work correctly, that I could turn the matter over to an attorney to resolve the outstanding issues if he continued to be unreasonable and unprofessional. He then threatened me with a lien on my property to which I laughed, telling him there was no mortgage involved and he could spit in the wind for the good that would do for him. I finally resolved the matter with a $500 reduction to the bill.
