If I could select fewer stars, I would. In October 2021, I was in need of COVID-19 Testing in my home state of Washington. A friend had told me that this company was pretty available for appointments, when other providers were not. I arrived at the Lynnwood location and received testing in short order, it was prompt and courteous, I have no issue with the service I received. In early February of 2023 (A full two years later) I was made aware of the bill for $430 that had been processed and I'd ready for payment. I don't know about you, the reader, but I feel that a bill of that size should be disclosed up front at minimum, not to mention that charging so much for such a necessary service is ridiculousGS Labs Response

Good Afternoon Eric,
For Covid 19 testing, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) requires that health plans must provide this coverage without imposing any patient liability (including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance), prior authorization, or other medical management requirements. After your COVID-19 test(s), you may receive an Explanation of Benefits letter (EOB) from your insurance company - this does NOT mean you owe a balance to GS Labs for your COVID-19 test(s).
If you provided us with valid insurance information when you registered for your appointment, you won't pay anything out-of-pocket. Based on current regulations under the CARES Act and FFCRA, you are not responsible for paying any outstanding balance.

I have been tested several times by GS Labs at their pop-up location in Des Moines last year. The first time, I had no issue getting in to get tested, but did not receive my result for several weeks. At that point, it was meaningless. On the second occassion, I DID NOT AND HAVE STILL NOT received a result. I also found it odd that they asked for insurance information. Are they billing insurance companies and not providing results? Given the importance of testing and their inability to get timely or any results, they do not seem effective as a way to test for Covid. Very disappointing.GS Labs Response

We ordered an antigen test and, if negative, a followup PCR test. The test site personnel were personable, but not all wore good masks or wore masks properly over their noses as well as mouths. We were told that, if our antigen test results were negative, as they turned out to be, we would get a PCR test result in in 24-48 hours. It has now been a full week without a test result. We ended up taking home antigen tests that were both positive on the fourth day. Had we been depending on that test to decide whether to go to work or school or get together with friends and family, we may have endangered someone. As it was, we were already quarantining because other family members had tested positive the previous week and because we felt it was safest for others to wait until after 10, not 5, days to be in public places, though we always mask. I checked the portal online multiple times. I also waited on hold for up to half an hour at a time without an answer.Review from kanan d.

I wish I could give a zero star. I booked an COVID testing appointment for Dec 28th at the Maplewood, MN location for a friend. I wa asked for credit card details and the entire amount was charged on the card. I was waiting for it to ask for insurance info which it never did. Thinking of it as a technical error, I tried to contact them immediately to cancel the appointment but no one responded to the call after almost an hour of holding the call. Meanwhile I requested the cancellation of their messenger system too but just to receive no response again. Have been trying to contact them almost every day but in vain. The amount is still on my card. Will I end up paying this fraud company for the service I never received? Extremely frustratingReview from Kelly J

My husband and I registered for a test. When we got there my husband's scheduled time for the test was not in the system. We had to wait nearly 1 hour for the mess to be fixed. One person said that the computer system was being updated and that was the problem. (Why would they update right at the holidays when many people would be getting tested???) Another person denied that the system was being updated. (Who was correct???) I was told the PCR test would take 3-5 days to get back. It has now been a week. I called. They have two lines. I remained on one line for 45 minutes with no answer. I called the other line and received a voice mailbox that was full. I tried again, and again the box was full. They have not contacted me to let me know when I will have the results. There is no email address for them. THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM!!! My husband's rapid test was positive. Mine was negative. As I have diabetes, it is important for me to know what the results are. Can they not have a dedicated receptionist to answer the line??? Also, if they are too swamped, maybe they need to refer people to other testing sites! Or are they just about the money they get for the tests?Review from Erica W

Warning! DO NOT USE GS Labs for covid testing! ****************************************** After a negative rapid test, I never received final result from lab test. After 8 DAYS, several phone calls, long, long wait times, staff having no clue what is happening. I was positive. YOU HAVE ONE JOB! 1 star, as I can't put zero.Review from Shari K

GS Labs, Omaha, NE, is a disappointing laboratory if you are wanting a respectful and truthful COVID teat. I tested with their rapid standard PCR test the morning of Dec 9 and was told results would
Be available in 1-3 days. Today is Dec 16 and test results have still
Not been provided. After calling their ************** Omaha ofc numerous times, I am placed on hold for 30-75 minutes to speak with a company rep. After finally connecting, I'm advised that my test is in line to be processed. I am
Very disappointed in this medical facility and encourage anyone who may require a COVID test to seek another medical resource. Thank you.Review from Tim K
