I was informed by my child that she had been enrolled in dance at this studio by her step mom. *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Upon calling Julie at Bloom and explaining that I was looking at other studios and that I did not authorize my daughter to be enrolled she stated she does not get involved with legal matters. ************************************************ I told her I wanted my daughter unenrolled and she stated that only the person that enrolled the child can unenroll. I told her "So I can grab a child enroll them without their parents consent and regardless of me having rights to that child you stand by that, not a court document" to which she replied. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/04) */ Contact Name and Title: Erin ******, Owner Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ********************* Our owner, Erin, was able to speak with Kristen today and confirm that she filed this complaint before their conversation on 7/29/21. In that call on Thursday, 7/29, Erin explained to her that we do not have contracts for our dance enrollees, that it is a month to month agreement that can be terminated at any time. Erin offered to unenroll her daughter, but Kristen requested that we keep her enrolled and keep the father/stepmom as the primary person on the account as they would be paying for the dance lessons. Erin also confirmed that Kristen will receive all parent email communication that Bloom sends out to parents so that she is always in the know of all activity related to her daughter's dance. When speaking to Kristen today, Erin requested that she withdraw the complaint with the BBB, but she implied she was unable (or perhaps didn't know how) to do that. We can provide documentation of our emails with Kristen that support the above agreement between her and Bloom Dance Studio. Please advise on how we best move forward with having this case dissolved/removed from our record. Thank you.
