I was refferred to him was to address my teeth grinding and jaw pain that gives me sleep difficulty. During the initial assessment in November, 2022 he said he could fit me with a mago (devise to reposition my jaw) and that by February 2023, when I would move out of the country, my jaw would be in the correct position. Over the 3 months I would see him so he could adjust the mago as my jaw was repositioning. During the frequent appointments he ignored my questions about the progress, failing to give me any details. My departure date was coming and I noticed the mago had some holes in it. He wanted to fix it so he put some glue into it and stuck it to my teeth. He started talking and forgot the device was still in my mouth. He tried to force it out. I was screaming in pain and feared he was going to break my jaw. He kept saying ‘I can do this.’ Finally he gave up and used a tool to cut it out. Destroying the mago. I told him I am leaving in 10 days, never want to see him after that day, and wanted a discount on the $4000 I’d already paid him. He talked me into having a new mago made. I was to come in the next day at 7am to have it refitted. That morning they tried to fit it, but after so many attempts he was unable to make it fit. It was an extremely painful and stressful hour. He wasn’t following his normal safety protocol and I could see him becoming frustrated. He was roughly putting the mago into my mouth and harshly pressing like he’d never done. I told him I had enough. While I was standing he got very close to my face and it felt like he was ready to harm me. I did my best to remain calm and told him his service was terrible and I wanted my money back. He made a claim I was doing a con job and ran out of the room to get his check book. A few minutes later a heated TJ Bolt returned with a check and I left. I didn’t leave with more money than I entered or the mago. Only I left with pain and trauma from frustrated dentist!
