On May 5, 2022, I went to see Dr. ******* of Advanced Dermatology *****************. Even though I had ******** and **********************, the front desk person insisted I had to make a copay of $** to see the doctor, which I did. I received notices that both companies had paid the bill in full, with the final payment being made by **** on June 24, 2022. I had called Advanced Dermatology billing office when I saw that **** had paid and asked about my refund. This was on June 27. Call #1: I was told that they had not actually received a payment yet from **** and that most of the time, patients received the Explanation of Benefits before they received their payment. She did say that upon receipt of the payment, a paper check for $** would be sent out. So I let it go for what I felt was a reasonable about of time. Call #2: On August 9, 2022 I called billing again and was told that I would receive a check in two weeks and if I didn't have it by then, to call back. Call #3: On 8/23/2022, I called again and was told told that the check had been made out and was dated August 9, but I would still have to wait another two weeks because they have a process which takes a month! I asked to speak with the Business Office and instead was given to the Billing Supervisor, I believe she said her name was Allie. She gave me the same line and when I insisted it did not take a month to mail a check out, that this was not right, that I shouldn't have had to pay a co-pay in the first place and it was now 3 months since doing so and 2 months since they had been paid in full, she said she would write a check the next day and if a dr came in she would have him sign it and mail it out. As of today, August 29, 2022, a week after that call, still no check. This is totally unacceptable business practices. I have reported them to **** and now am filing a complaint with you. This is not against Dr. ******* but unethical business practices of holding payments too long.

I went in to have a cyst looked at and possibly removed. *************************************************** I was waiting in the lobby for about 15 minutes and was brought back to one of the observation rooms and sat down for another 15 minutes. The doctor and two staff member came in and looked at the cyst and touched it a couple times and then took three pictures of it with her cell phone and said she'll have to see what insurance will pay. They were only in there for less than five minutes and said they will look at it later and let me know how much it'll cost. I still have the cyst and nothing was ever done. They called me a week later and said they didn't know how much insurance will cover for the removal of it. As of right now i still have the cyst and is only kinda unsightly with no pain so i haven't persued the procedure any more. Thank you, Craig ********
