I purchased a package of tunes from this company. After loading the tunes onto my truck, they did not work correctly. The tunes I purchased were a shift on the fly option, which I never received fully. I only received individual tunes, which was not the purchase agreement. Of these original tunes. None of them worked correctly on my truck. They informed me that I needed a different programmer and told me that for an additional fee which also did not work I called today and as soon as I said my name, they hung the phone up and will not answer any more calls I would like to press legal charges if needed but would really just like my $1500 returned and I will be happy to send them their product back.Initial Complaint

Bought a truck and transmission tune with dsp5 switch. Installed the tune and felt no noticeable difference. Was asked to check the dsp5 switch and only the 4 position was working. Now as Wednesday the truck is running very bad and blowing Black smoke. Can't drive. Would like a refund and a return to stock tune. This is my work truck and will have to rent a truck until this is resolved.Business response

According to our internal ticketing system the client has reached out to receive a return to stock file which we provided on May 08 2022 however there was no mention of a refund request only an internal note of the client filling a BBB ticket and wanting the file to return to stock which we provided on said date. If the client wants a refund we are happy to provide a refund once the client has returned the physical product and we have had an opportunity to inventory/review the product and issue a refund. For all Returns we require an order number(s) on the packaging to cross reference product to order for refund.

I am rejecting this response because: the hard hardware worked fine. The lisnce was already supposed to be refunded to me which I have not received. The truck had a check engin light on now cause by the tuning. I would like a refund for the transmission, truck tune and licensing. I an very unsatisfied with the tune and service help. I will be taking to the dealership to diagnose what damage the tuning caused to the truck.

The business is happy to refund the customer $****** for the DSP5 Tune + Transmission Tune however since the customer has opted to keep all physical parts we won't refund for the physical product until they are returned.
For the ******* ******* VIN License will we not be refunding and here is our reasoning why we won't be doing so. The ******* ******* device is non-functioning device without an ******* ******* VIN License associated to it and as previously stated the customer is opting to keep the physical ******* ******* device which means the client has to retain ownership of an ******* ******* VIN License otherwise there is zero value in retaining the ******* ******* unless the customer is planning some unscrupulous activities of defrauding the retailer.
If the customer is unhappy with said services the customer has the option to unlink the ******* ******* from our business which will disable the ability of the customer to run the DSP5 Tune + Transmission Tune and allows the ******* ******* to be associated with another business. Please note before completing the ******* Unlink the customer should be sure to have the end user's stock file loaded on the vehicle otherwise failing to do so will prevent end users from flashing their stock tune into the vehicle after the Unlink. We will provide this ******* ******* Unlink service free of charge as long as the customer provides the ******* ********* Serial Number, Auth Code and License Number. If the customer doesn't want engage on the service free of charge they can always work directly with ******* for resolve.

I paid over $***** for tuning from same day tuning over 45 days ago. They sent me my ECM and the truck would not run. Took about a week in a half to get in touch with someone to tell them the truck won't run. Then about a week they tell me to send the ecm back so they can see what is wrong. I sent the ecm back and a few days later they finally answered one of my emails and said I needed to send the mpv thing also. Which they didn't tell me about that in the email. So I sent that and it's been over 2 weeks and I had one email answered saying someone name Drew is working on it. Still can't get them to answer the phone or emails. I have a ******* truck sitting in my shop that does not run all because of this companyBusiness response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/08/02) */ They finally got me going the day I filed this complaint. I'm still ****** cause of how long it took. I kept telling them the ECM they sent me or the tune was no good. Well they finally sent me another ECM and emailed me a new tune and the truck started right up. But taking 2 months to get this was horrible. And trying to contact someone there is pointless. Cody gave me his extension number so I could contact him directly but he would not answer when I called. I would not recommend anyone using this company until they get their **** together and who knows how long that will be. I'm not a bitter person and don't take complaints this far but this company really done me a ****** job. I had 3 more customers that wanted the same work done but I lost them cause of how long Same Day Tuning took so they took even more money from me.Initial Complaint

Same Day Tuning has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. When you're told timeframes, you're expected to stay within. I had plans change with a vehicle tune and was told prior that all would be fine, no need to change anything. Come to find out I've got a truck that will not start stuck in my work bay due to same day tuning not doing their job. Very unprofessional, very unsatisfactoryBusiness response
