      I have been trying to get a doctots appointment for the annual check, I have called 5 different in network doctors offices and they all said they are not getting new patients, then why I am paying for. The doctors list is not updated or the contract is not honored.

      The Worst Insurance Ever!!! would not give the a star at all if I had a choice. I called these guys prior to July 1, 2023 That I Would be going on Medicare, but my wife, however would still need coverage. So what do they do they cancelled both of our coverage mid June When I called. I immediately go back and called them only to get the run around and that the only thing they could do is offer new policies that cost more although I had already paid the premiums for the month of June. As you can imagine I did not agree to this, thus the run around continued since I was desperate to make sure my wife had coverage. Finally having watching them increase cost of insurance by sending conflicting bill amounts which included vastly increased exponentially amounts "although I was going on Medicare" We cut our losses by finding a different policy for the last 6 months of the year which will cost more in deductibles but lower premiums until we can find something at the beginning of the year. They also still owe me money for the premium I continued to pay for her leading into July, but I doubt I will ever see it. Lesson I learn do not report life change until the very latest because Ambetter and the Marketplace will Screw You!!

      I wish I could give a zero star review. My coverage was cancelled yet they never notified me. I found out when my doctor called and told me. I called and I got the run around where I was told that they couldn’t reinstate the insurance policy and to call another company where they told me that they couldn’t reinstate it but that Ambetter from Nebraska Total Care should be able to. It was cancelled because of non-payment but they told me that they show that I paid them, yet there is nothing they can do. This coverage definitely seems like a joke and their staff either don’t know how to do their jobs or they’re not able to do them properly.

      Only 1 month in and already upset. Paid the January billing when we opted for the plan in November 2022. Paid the February billing by the due date of 1/30/23 yet the March billing statement shows we are past due although the payment cleared our bank account on 1/30/23. Called and spoke to an agent who was like talking to a rock. She was no help at all. Complete waste of my time. All she could do was request an audit of the account which will take 7-10 business days. I'm so tired of the "racket" that is known as health insurance! Right now, I would give them 0 stars if I could.

      As someone who works in a provider's office obtaining insurance authorizations, this plan is horrible. Every time I call, I get someone in a different country who barely understands English. It's like talking to a post. I don't even want to leave one star. I would not recommend this plan to anyone. Ever. There is a provider portal that should be used to obtain authorizations, but it does not work. When we submit the authorization request, it goes nowhere. No one reviews it, so we are forced to use a fax form. The form lists Standard review turnaround time as 3 business days, yet when you call to check the status they tell you it's 15 days, not 3. No one knows what they're doing. We cringe when we see a patient has Ambetter as their insurance payer. Do not choose this plan when shopping for insurance on the Marketplace.

      I honestly can't even give them a 1 star. They're deceitful. They don't care. *********************** It's more of a headache having them as an insurance company than not having insurance at all. I'm not even kidding - we'd probably be better off not having any insurance than we are with Ambetter. What they advertise for coverage is nowhere near what they actually cover. I'm sorry, but only paying not even $1000 out of a $6000 bill is not the 50/50 they advertise. And when talking to them about getting refunded for what they tell you you're entitled to, they like to change the number every single time. We went from a $572 refund to a $157 refund, then suddenly now only a $68 refund for vision - which they stated on our portal was covered in full. When you file a any paperwork for a refund or any ***** paperwork, they take their sweet time processing it (it's been almost a month - still haven't heard anything) but when you file a grievance they are quick to deny you (it took them 2 days for that one). I would not recommend Ambetter to anyone for any reason, unless you enjoy getting screwed over.
