      I dropped off 2 pair of Silver hearing aids to be cleaned on Wed 6/21. Today I went back to pick them up and she gave me 2 Gold pairs of hearing aides. When I told her that mine were Silver, she said no that they were gold. We argued about that for awhile and she kicked me out of the with the gold ones, which ****** ********** paid for. So I left the premises with the wrong hearing aides and called the BBB.

      Dear Ms ****

      I am very sorry that you had a bad experience at our ******* location. I pulled the packing list from the aids that you got back in October of 2022 from ****** ********** Hearing and it shows that the color of them is Gold. We also checked the serial numbers in our computer against the packing list and they too show gold in color. We are sorry about the confusion. However our patient care coordinator did indeed give you back your aids.

      I am filing this complaint on my grandmother's behalf. She was sold hearing aids Febuary 2023, without being aware they were not able to be returned or refunded. *** *** *** ****** **** ******* ************* *** ************* *** ** ******* ****** ******* ********* *** ** ********* ********* *** ******* ******* ******* **** *** ******** *** *** ********** ********** *** ***** ***** *** **** ******** ****** ********* *** ****** ************* She believes she did not need the hearing aids at all because her trouble hearing was related to wax build up in her ear. She was also sold ear drops but they were not effective. She feels she was taken advantage of due to her age and issues with comprehension. My grandmother says she told the woman she worked with, Melisa *********, that she was quote "handicap" and did not understand the process. My grandmother was not aware of a trial period to my knowledge. We have been notified the hearing aids cannot be turned because they cannot be resold again, despite being purchased refurbished.

      I am rejecting this response because: I own up to things I should have done in regards to this situation at an earlier time, but I sincerely believe my grandmother was not able to fully understand the agreement of her purchase and I am concerned this will happen to other people in difficult family situations. I was working and unavailable during most of this process, which is my responsibility, but I find the business to be at least partially responsible for the lack of understanding. For example, I was not aware of the 30 day time limit on returns and I would've navigated the situation differently if I had known.

      We are sorry that you were unable to the initial appointment.  We have our patients initial the return policy to have them ask questions at the time of purchase.       This process was completed, and we are not issuing a refund.   We would be happy to see your grandmother again to make sure she is doing well with the hearing instruments.  Please reach out to us at *** *** **** for further assistance.
