I have been repeatedly billed $***** every month by Oriental Trading. I rarely order from their site. I originally bought some items in June from the company and have been billed $***** every month! When I contacted OTC they said I had signed up for some rewards program. I can not find this ANYWHERE on my account information on their site. I certainly would not have signed up for some "program" from a company I rarely order from- especially if I knew I was being billed every month! Very shady. I am lucky I noticed it on my bank statement!Business response

I found unrecognizable charges on my credit card statement for *****. By OTC brands. I ******* to see what it was and found a phone number for Oriental Trading Company's rewards program. I call the number, the representative said that I had been charged monthly since December 2021. I was very confused. The representative explained that it is a charge to belong to their rewards program. She also explained that you must be VERY careful when checking out to not have something checked. I made a purchase from Oriental trading company for my daughter's wedding in 2021. I am NOT a returning customer. I would not ever agree to pay )***** per month for their rewards program. I think they have this box checked and if you don't uncheck it they trick you and charge you for this stupid rewards program. I can't possibly be the i my person scammed by this. ***************** made a purchase of ********* items through Oriental Trading Company on 8-9-21. According to the company, when I checked a box for a free shipping promotion I inadvertently agreed to "OTC Fun Rewards," an online shopping program for $***** per month. 16 months and $****** later, my husband asks what the recurring charges are about...thinking it was a service I had knowingly signed-up to receive. This is a case of misleading buyers and deceptively getting ******** to enroll in a program without their knowledge. The company refused any refunds and claimed I had established an account. However, I could not gain access or set-up login credentials for the site. The company claimed they had my email address on file, yet I have never received an invoice or any related correspondence (thoroughly checked "Trash" & "Spam" as well). On my credit card statements the biller's name also changed twice: OTC Brands, Oriental Trading Company, and OTC Fun Rewards. I assume responsibility for not finding and acting upon this fraud earlier. ******** must beware of this deceptive business practice as this company goes out of its way to remain invisible in its subterfuge.Business response

I purchased an item from Oriental Trading on July 31, 2021 and ever since until now I have been getting charged monthly from OTC BRANDS INC. and without knowing until now. I just called customer service and the representative told me she I "Willingly" signed up for a subscription at checkout and could only refund me 6 months out of the 16 months I was charged!! This is not fair and needs be fixed as soon as possible!Business response

I have been billed $***** sixteen times on my credit card! Apparently since June of 2021. All I ever ordered were some rubber ducks and only twice in that amount of time. I didn't (like many others on this page) ever sign up for a monthly billing. When speaking with employees and supervisors all they said they could refund was 6 months worth. What about the $****** other funds that was taken from me without my knowledge?? This is ridiculous! This is a huge problem with your Fun Rewards Program. *********************************************** Your system is hugely flawed ************************************. Oriental trading is steeling from customers. From me! I'm looking for a full refund. I did not use your program monthly. This is theft. I am owed a total of $******Business response

I noticed a charge for their fun rewards program which I never signed up for. I contacted customer service and was told that they had charged me 13 times! I have never authorized any of these charges. They told me they could only refund me for 6 charges. That is absolutely ridiculous because I never authorized NOT one of these chargesBusiness response

The dates of transactions are 8/12/22, 9/12/22, 10/12/22, and pending 11/12/22. All 4 transactions are $***** each, $***** total. I'm being charged for a membership that I never signed up for. On September 29th of this year I placed an order from Oriental Trading Company order # *********. I received an email to review the products which I did and was contacted via email to contact them for a full refund because the products I received were very cheaply made and they falsely advertised that a couple of the items were plastic when they are just cardboard. I contacted them via there chat option and then they tried to get me to pay to return this **** they sell people. They claim to have a 100% happiness guarantee but when I said I wouldn't pay $**** to ship the items back, the lady told me that I could pay the shipping cost from another company than which I will not do. Then because I used the words "****" and "****" she ended the chat on me. They falsely advertised their products and charged a lot of money for carboard and foam pieces. So much for the 100% happiness guarantee. I want a full refund and they can even have the products back, I just refuse to pay the shipping.Business response
