In December of 2019 I recieved a grant from the city to do an emergency water main repair on my house due to my family being low income and not being able to afford a 8,000 dollar bill. Southside plumbing was hired by the city to come and do the work. They did the repair in my basement and covered thier work with the paneling they removed to do the repair. Since then there never seemed to be a problem only really cold temperatures in the cold in my basement and lots of bugs surfacing that were never there before but we just brushed it off as it’s a basement they get bugs sometimes. On June 25th 2024 we had a very hard rain that flooded my basement. We did not understand why and tried our best to clean up the mess. It was pouring out of our wall uncontrollably. The next day we got a free estimate from a foundation expert who removed the paneling from my wall and discovered 2 huge holes in my foundation right above they made the repair and very badly patched over the concrete with more concrete but didn’t cover the entire hole they made. They left 2 holes about 5 inches wide and 3 inches long. I gave southside plumbing a call to let them know what’s going on and I recieved a call back from a man named **** ****** and he told me it’s not thier fault because he bought the company in 2021 which come to find out is a lie because I asked a lawyer and he discovered the LLC has never been changed and only passed onto his mother ******. He refused to come fix thier wrong doing and told me to get a lawyer. So that is my next move. Over the last couple of years we have not had enough rain for the water to make its way so deep in the soil until now which was told to me by the foundation expert. All I wanted was for this company to come and fix thier wrong they did when the city hired them. Not even me!!!! Now my whole basement got flooded twice with thousands of dollars in damages. I have proof of everything and documented the flooding and where the water is leaking.
