A scheels manager todd ******* was given permission to enter my automobile and get any scheels bags out of my back seat to bring back into the store he brought back in to the store my bag of items i was returning that day which was verified by another manager that was helping with my return in the ammo department upstairs where i returned a few items with reciepts for cash back and a few i did not have the reciept for but followed scheels protocol a standard operating procedure for returns and was given store credit on a scheels gift card resulting in 3 items equalling $****** instore credit of which i had spent around $****** of the $****** on miscellaneous ammo and kept the remainder of my returns to wait until i had the reciepts so i could get my cash back among these were laser sights for pistols, flash light/laser combos for pistols, bipods for rifles, etc... the gun attachments were for pistols i needed them for rifles and the bipods were not fitting on my newly purchased rifles. I had spent alot on these items and didnt want all my money on an instore card solely to go to that store so those items my property were kept by scheels along with my ammo i purchased that same day with the reciept in the bag that card was erased of around $****** and todd ******* the same scheels manager allowed in my automobile to retrieve any items he believed to be the property of scheels also filed a false police report the very next day resulting in my automobile being impounded less than 24 hours after he had been inside the very same automobile he states in the police report that a suspicious unknown vehicle had been parked at scheels over night and has rifles laying in the back seat uncased and he didnt know who the car belonged to. Scheels wpnt return my calls i want my property back & card reloaded. I have spoken to numerous managers and been told i would be called back and am not. Todd ******* has filed false police reports and committed fraud, scheels can be held liableBusiness response

The actions that we took, including regaining possession of stolen property, were at the direction of the ***** police. The case number assigned to these events by the ***** police department is *******. The police had the vehicle impounded because of items plainly visible in the vehicle. As has been explained numerous times, if proof of purchase can be provided, we are more than happy to further address these instances, but that has yet to happen.
