In July 2022 I went to Tommy’s Tires to have my shocks and struts replaced due to a driving hazard. Within three months I went back to Tommy’s because my passenger side wheel was clicking every time I was turning. They drove the car and said it was fine. I took a recording of the clicking back to Tommy’s and had Tommy listening to it. He said it was fine and was due to my car being old. Took my car back again and was told the clicking was the strut breaking itself in. Took my car back to Tommy’s again and was then told when they heard it again that it was the plastic part above my mount that was clicking and if I wanted him to take it off he would. A few months later I was getting an oil change in my car and went back the following day due to something they found in my cabin filter the prior day. The company lifted up my car on a lift and went they turned my wheels you could hear the loud popping and I asked what is that bc I can never seem to get an answer of it. The guy turned the wheels again and checked the strut mount and it was completely loose. It is now May of 2023 finding out after 6-7 months of complaining about the clicking he reached up and pulled a broken piece from the mount. Tommy’s replaced one side but they also knew my drivers side wasn’t aligned either. The passengers side was fixed but now you can hear the clicking on the drivers side. I called Tommy’s and told them about it and they wanted to quote me $*** to fix what wasn’t my fault even though I asked them when they changed the passenger side of the drivers side needed replaced. They side we’ll see after we replace this one. You couldn’t hear the drivers side on the clicking bc the passengers side was so loud and the strut was actually broken where 1/2 the ball bearing piece was pulled out after the strut was shaken. From my understanding the person that put my struts on isn’t even a mechanic. I just want the driver side strut replaced.
