Will not take my card off file when I personally called for them to do so. I understand that they need a file on their system. They have since last night charged my 14 times for the room my sibling was going to stay in, which he did not stay in cause the hotel had removed him from the room. I asked for my card to be taken of file and the desk clerk ****** told me to find my sibling and stop calling the hotel.Business response

I've been trying to get a refund of bogus charges for 8 months now from ***** **** *********** ,or dba/ ***** **** ******, or dba/ ***** * ** *******, now Econo Lodge in *********** **. I was charged for 4 nights that I never stayed. On 6/9/22 I checked into the ***** * ** *******. The Front Desk person took my credit card and charged me $***** for first of 3 nights. I was there for only 10-15 mins and realized I couldn't stay there because the place was a mess with construction going on, dust, fumes and contaminants in the air. I couldn't stay under those conditions because I am ******** *** on ******* Oxygen so cannot use my Oxygen Concentrator with all that going on. I told the Front Desk person that I couldn't stay because of the situation and asked for a refund of that first nights charge. She tried to give me a refund,and told me that the name ***** **** *********** would show up on the refund because they were not set up to be ***** * despite their website and sign out front. I had to go elsewhere. When I got my next Credit Card Statement I saw that the ***** * charged me $****** for the 3 nights reservation on 6/9-10-11/22 besides the original charge of $***** from ***** ****.(There was no refund of that.) Total is $****** for both businesses since they both are under ***** **** ***********: same Front Desk, same lobby, same person.. I've called, emailed, even gone in person and they will not return the money. No one there will give out the name of the Owner and none of the intermingled names has a business license in ********. I believe this owner is cheating and dishonest. ** ** ****** ***** *** *****. ***** ** ***** ** **** ** *********** ****. He is using BBB name and not even accredited or would put his name on anything. (***** ** ************ ********) I've filed Fraud charges with the Atty General of ******** and will persue this until I get my money back. Beware of this business - now Econolodge/Econo Lodge.Customer response

A person named Jelo **** replied to the complaint I filed with the ** Attorney General. He acknowledged the amount due to be refunded. Said he would have to talk to the owner.
