On 9.19.2022 I called Best Plumbing because our sewer was backed up. I was told there would be a gentlemen coming to clear the line. "Brian" showed up about 6pm, I showed him to the basement and let him go to work. He came up about 8 and said he could not clear my line and wanted to put a cameral down to see if the sewer line had collapsed. I said okay asked that they waive that fee because we just had that camera down less than 6 months ago and at that time it was fine. They refused to waive the fee but was very pushy about having the camera done and getting an estimate on the sewer line. Their estimate was ****** dollars on top of the *** we had already accrued from the visit and camera. We were advised to get a porter potty and not use the water. We have had Best Plumbing out about every 4 to 6 months in the last two years. The problem keeps coming back (roots). Something told me to get a second opinion. I called another plumber. In about 30 minutes he had the line cleared. Told us we should have it done in about a year to maintain. He also informed us that Best had lied to us and was not using the correct size "snake" which causes it to clog up again sooner. He suggested we call the BBB. We now have a *** dollar porter potty for the month that we do not need. I have had to use my friends shower for a week and do all my laundry at the laundromat. The plumber today, who cleared our line, charged us *** to clear the line. He quoted **** if the line needed replaced. Big difference. I would like to see the ****** dropped because they did not do the job correctly and charged us for a camera we did not need. Thank you for your time any help with this matter. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/05) */ Upon speaking with the Plumbing Supervisor and Accounts Receivables Manager we looked over said Invoices and have voided both of them. Customer has been notified of resolution. Consumer Response /* (2000, 10, 2022/10/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I am happy with Best's response. I do worry they are taking advantage of others. I will no longer use their services. Thank you for your help BBB!
