On May 6, 2023 we went to Leeder Automotive and traded In a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn edition and $1744.00 for a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium. When we were test driving the vehicle, we did notice potential transmission issues. Josh Mitten said that there was a 10,000 mile 4 month powertrain warranty and that it would be covered if it needed one. When we went to take the vehicle out of town on May 19, 2023 we noticed the transmission was surging and sliping into gears. Promptly of May 23, 2023 we contacted Leeder Automotive about the issues we were having. They stated that we could change the transmission fluid and see how it does. My husband did change the fluid, which was black and smelt burnt, and sent a sample with me on May 24, 2023. On May 24, 2023 I had went to Leeder Automotive for them to look at the transmission and they provided me with a loaner vehicle that wasnt safe to drive. While they had the Escape, they took it to Sid Dillon in Wahoo and asked them to flush the transmission and reprogram it. NOTHING WAS TOLD TO SID DILLON THAT WE WERE HAVING THESE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. On May 25, 2023 we went to pickup the Escape after it was serviced and we were less than 1 mile from their dealership and was having the same issues of surging and slipping into gears. We turned around and went back to Leeder Automotive and took the technician for a drive. He stated, " It is up to my boss on if he will replace the transmission." Once back at the dealership again, we asked for the owners phone number so we could call him. They refused to provide it to us and told us to leave. On August 20, 2023 there was a TRANSMISSION FAULT CODE ERROR, that came up on the dash and went into limp mode. We took it into Omaha Transmission for the issues and they stated that we needed a new transmission. We took the invoice back to Leeder Automotive and spoke with Bill, the business owner, and he refused to acknowledge the issue again stating that we were lying. NO RESOLUTION
