    I would like answers to the following questions: 1) What is the exact amount I am or will be billed? 2) Why wasn't the money taken from my credit card when other payments were made? I think it has something to do with insurance, but I'd like a full explanation. 3) Why hasn't the billing department called me back when they promised to do so? 4) Can I be assured in writing that after I pay the amount that we agree on, I will not be billed later for more? Problems with BioScrip, Inc. After a six-month stay in the hospital, I was sent home the day after Thanksgiving, 2019, but I needed saline infusions three times a week. At first they were done at the hospital, with the cost covered by Medicare; but under advice by my visiting nurse, I learned to administer them at home, to avoid winter weather driving and to do them on my own time. Medicare and BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont did not cover the cost, and I was billed $30 for each infusion plus incidental costs such as pump rental, etc. At first I paid by check, but soon found it easier to use auto-pay on my VISA credit card. Monthly payments were made automatically through February 2021, two months after the infusions were discontinued shortly before Christmas 2020. Bio-Scrip, Inc., located in Bedford, NH, was very courteous and helpful during the infusion period. In September, 2021, I received a bill for $210 for service 11/09/2020 to 11/30/2020. I called the billing number and spoke to a woman who said there was about $900 in addition tcrthe $210 that would be billed in the future. She would check for details and call me back. In the meantime, Jgot out my VISA statements and had them ready for the forthcoming call, which never came. Then in October a bill for $180 arrived for service 11/30/2020. On 10/15 I called the billing number on the statement (885-794-6433) and someone named Malcolm referred me to a different number (877-295-8064). I was told that all agents were currently busy and I should leave a message for call back. I did, but received no return call. 10/18 Busy again. Left message. No call back. 10/19 8:00 am Left message. No call back. 9:20 am Called Bedford office. Was routed to same number as above. No call back. 5:06 pm Phone answered by Sarah. She wasn't able to explain the bills, but said there was $540 pending. She would talk to her supervisor and have her call me back with an explanation tomorrow. No return call. 10/21 8:00 am Cut off. Called again. Put on hold. Agents busy. Left message. No call back. Called Frances Ricker, former visiting nurse, to ask for advice. She suggested locating a government help group. She will see if anyone in her office can recommend a solution. 10/23 4:30 pm Office closed this Saturday, although the voice message stated normal business hours were Mon.-Fri. from 8 am to 12 am and Sat. from 11 am to 7 pm. Left voice mail. 10/25 9:45 am All agents busy. Left message. No call back. 10/26 9:00 am All agents busy. Left message. No call back. At this point I realize I will get nowhere through phone calls. I am willing to pay what I owe, but I want to make sure that I do owe this and what the exact amount is. I have already paid about $4000 to BioScrip, and need to know what this extra is all about. I feel I am making a reasonable request, and do not understand why I am being treated so poorly. I do not want to be saddled with a poor credit rating or additional interest payments. Please help me sort out the problem quickly, successfully for all concerned. Thank you.
