Spent $13,000 for Shampney LS to purchase and install (25) 5 foot blue spruce trees. Trees were simply all thrown in holes with out fresh soil, crooked and all of them are dying but can’t get Shampney to even respond let alone fix them. Had another landscaping company out to assess the situation and they stated the trees were not installed correctly, they are also not the correct tree for this installation and the work was extremely shoddy. These trees are watered each day for 45 minutes as you will see from the greens all the way around the trees. Tried calling and texting them many times with no responses.Business response

I Dave Shampney the owner of Shampney & Son's Four Seasons Landscaping LLC have been communicating back and fourth through emails and text about the trees. We plan on going out and looking at the trees and coming to a solution to make both parties happy. As mentioned in the text message the tree look like they were being over watered. When doing this project the customer(****) said that he was going to mulch these trees himself and has not done that which is also another reason why the trees look the way they do.Business response

We never received the BBB complaint until August 17 around 1:46pm. we had been in contract with the customer before we received this complaint.
In an email with the customer I had offered to come out and take a look and see what the problem is so that we could fix this issue and got no response back.
We will come out and look at the problem and have it fixed as long as the customer is ok this.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:In the 3 weeks we have been waiting for Shampney LS to assess the situation with this poor installation, we had a few other well-known LS companies come to assess the situation and all came to the same conclusion. It's simply an extremely poor installation. We have hired a well-known, reputable LS company to make the necessary changes and replacements, fully documented as we will pursue Shampney LS through the courts once the total amount of damages is achieved.
Thank you, BBB, for help and assistance with this matter as the intention of going this route is to resolve the issue before legal action is necessary. You may please close this case out as we have no further desire to play these games any longer as I have been advised not to share any more information regarding this case. Thank you..
