The owner Rob T******** failed to show up for the pre work meeting and had his crew start the project. Due to his neglect, one of the crew members started digging where our water main for the pool comes in and he broke the pipe. Water started overflowing in my yard and he told me this happens all the time and he would have it fixed. It was a straight efficient pipe and the crew installed a 90 degree pipe making it less efficient and ruined my brand new landscaped and hydroseeded area by the pool. After multiple mistakes such as putting the gate on the wrong side to open and throwing dirt all over my newly hydroseeded lawn, the neglect Mr. T******** showed after receiving my deposit and missing meetings caused his crew to not know what they were doing. Furthermore, once the project was finished I went to mow my lawn, his crew only worked in the backyard. I went to mow my front lawn and his crew left a 6 foot metal rod for digging and a hammer in my tall grass, not expecting tools to be left behind, especially in the front yard I ran over the tools with my John Deere ride on mower, severely damaging my mower. When I brought it to Mr. T********** attention I was met with anger and no solution. I withheld the final $1500 balance until the mower situation was taken care of. A few days ago my landscaper backed into the fence and broke two of the posts. The landscaper called Mr. T******** to purchase a section of fence and he was unprofessional and rude to the landscaper and told him he wasn’t selling anything to him. Mr. T******** felt the need to call me and harass me by saying that I owe $1500 and I replied as soon as the mower is made whole I would pay. He said well it looks like you owe $1500 and have a broken mower and hung up on me. Landscaper called me and was very confused as to why Mr. T******** was so rude to him. I’m seeking for a refund due to multiple mistakes and Mr. T********** lack of service after the project. I offered to pay first but received no replyBusiness response

Hello Mr. *******
Before I address any of the perceived complaints let me provide you with proof of just how menacing and unprofessional **** ***** has been in communications about this issue. Attached is a screen shot of vulgar texts with obscene language, insults and threats of creating slanderous online reviews of my company, which he has already posted on ******. Unfortunately his uncontrolled anger was not just in his dealings with me, but he has also behaved in this manner towards all the female employees in my office and also subjected our installation crews to it as well. In every correspondence we’ve had with him we have been courteous and professional and have proof of these in both email and texts.
**** ***** was not involved nor present for any of the meetings I had in person regarding the fence project. It was his wife ******* who initiated meetings with me for the quote, discussing project details, and painting out blue lines on the grass. The pre work meeting, is in fact, the same meeting where I met with ******* *****, before any work was started to finalize details in person and physically paint out the lines .
My crew broke an area in the pool line pipe but we immediately addressed this and had it corrected by the pool company’s technicians, not by fence installers. The pool company knows exactly what was needed to be done and they installed/corrected the pipe, as they are the experts in that area. A pool line absolutely does have pipes going in different angles to get around items like filters and corners. I don’t believe that the reputable pool company ***** hired would install their own pool lines improperly rendering them as inefficient.
My crew did in fact only work in the backyard. ***** had countless other contractors on his property for other project work. The tools in the photos he provided are not our equipment. When ***** mentioned his broken lawn mower back in May we asked him to please show us the repair estimate which he did not and as for timely relevance, we to date still have never seen.
When **** ***** refused to pay the remaining $1500 (the cost of his special order custom gate), he was advised that non-payment would void his 5 year warranty that includes free repairs on the entire fence. He decided to walk away or leave it that way. Since then his fence has become damaged and in need of a repair or replacement panel. We contacted him and said if you agree to pay our remaining balance then we will certainly come back and fix the damaged fence. He refused again and is upset about his current situation that we did not create. His statement about offering to pay us is totally false and goes against common sense. Why would we ever refuse to accept payment for work that was done? Why would we not try to resolve the situation and make things fair and satisfactory for both parties?
It should be mentioned that before the fence project was quoted on or started, **** ***** had applied at ********* Fence for a job opening we had listed on Indeed for a scheduling manager and he was not chosen for the position so we are left wondering if this is contributing in fueling his animosity and vehement behavior preventing any amicable avenues to try and resolve the situation constructively.Best,
Rob T********

Complaint: *****177
I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:The many untrue and contradictory statements Rob T******** made in his response.
First contradictory statement made was he claims the tools were not his companies but claims (which he never did) that he asked me for a repair quote for the tractor. Never asked me for the quote and never responded to any of my requests for his attention on the matter, he stone walled me.
A very important and interesting part he left out and failed to explain was that I never reached out to him about the damaged fence, my landscaper did with whom he was very rude too. What did happen was Rob T******** called me to say my landscaper called to get help to fix the fence, Rob told him to get lost and was rude beyond that. Rob decided to call me and tell me that I owe $1500 and I said you owe me $3000 for a new tractor. He responded with a laugh ‘well now you owe $1500, you have a busted mower and a busted fence’ and then hung up on me. So my reaction from this offense was not a pleasant one.
Furthermore, Rob T******** came to one meeting which I was there for with my wife. She did in fact make the appointment. The one ******* and I also attended was the preinstall meeting, Rob T******** no showed and allowed his crew to start work. Due to his neglect they broke my water main pipe to the pool. As the photos show his crew was working on the piping and I was left with a 90 degree pipe rather than the more efficient straight pipe. No apology, just told this happens all the time. If I knew it was common practice to break water pipes I would not have hired his company.
Rob T********’s memory must be a bit foggy because the fence was the last project, no other contractors or workers from any other company were there during or after the install.
Never told about a 5 year warranty or free repairs, according to the attached contract it says nothing about a warranty and I certainly was not made aware of it. Not on his site either.
I did apply for a position well before I hired him for this job. I assure you not getting an $18 an hour job at a place 45 minutes from house is why I’m I made this complaint, it’s due to Rob T********’s neglect and lack service after the sale. I also find it very disturbing that Rob T******** would put my personal information (resume) on this complaint it really shows more of who he really is. Also I would like proof of how I was abusive towards the women that work there. The slander against me Rob T******** has shown without proof is a separate issue I will be dealing with.
Lastly, when I was interviewed by Linda and I had a space of time between jobs she asked me if I was living in my parents basement playing video games during that time. I replied that I’ve owned my home for 10 years with my wife and have a 9 year old daughter. With these types of comments I would never work for anyone like that. I showed a bit of uneasiness when Linda made this comment and she really turned on me. I declined before an offer was even made.
In closing I would like proof from Rob T******** to all these claims he made about me. I attached my call log to match times against text. Thank you.
Sincerely,
******* *****
