In March 2022, I purchased a ready-made table from Lake and Mountain Home. On March 26, 2022, I ordered a custom bench and 4 chairs to match the table. The staff at L&M noted the "grey" color paint and brown tone of the table to match (written on the order form), presumably the colors from their standard paint offering. Over email I was informed that the lead time is approximately 20 weeks, but the bench was more like "16-20 weeks". Finally in mid-October 2022, I was told that the bench was ready. I went to pick it up and the bench was not painted the correct color. After months of constant follow up, including photos of the table and eventually trying to match with paint chips from a local hardware store, I was informed in early February 2023 that the bench was in progress, but still not date on when it will be finished. In early November 2022, during the second visit to pick up the bench that was still the wrong color, I was informed by Tom, the owner, that the four chairs had arrived and would be ready "by Thanksgiving". After multiple attempts over text and email to get an update status on the chairs from both Tom and Amanda (who coordinates the benches), I have been unable to get a clear timeline on when the bench and chairs will be ready (as of February 12, 2023 - almost 11 months after my order). I paid a 50% deposit of $1,137.50 for the bench and four chairs on March 26, 2022. On January 12, 2023, I informed Tom over text message that if I don't have the bench and chairs by the end of January, I would take the appropriate next steps to inform agencies of these deceptive business practices.
