In September 2021, Sean H******* of H******* and Sons Landscaping gave us a quote for installing a paver walkway on our property. Sean emailed my husband with a quote of $3,500.00 for the project and said that he needed half of the payment upfront for materials. We decided in October to employ Sean for the project, and when we asked for an estimated timeline, Sean responded: "looking at middle to the end of November maybe even December". In early November, Sean picked up a $1,750 check from my husband. We did not hear from Sean again until December 26, when he said that he would begin work on our project in the spring. My husband emailed Sean on March 19, 2022, to ask what the new estimated timeline would be for our project, and Sean said that we were the third project on his list for the year. I emailed Sean on April 23 to request either our money back or the materials that we paid for. Sean then reached out to my husband and said that he would begin the project in June. My husband responded that we needed our money back, as we could not have the project done as late as June. Sean agreed to pay us back the $1,750 in the form of a check. As of today (July 14, 2022), we have still not received our money back from Sean. At one point, Sean told my husband that he needed to wait for a rainy day to drop off the check, due to his work schedule. My husband has intentionally reached out to Sean via text during three rainy days in June and July, and Sean has not responded. My husband has also offered to drive to Sean's location and pick up the check, and Sean has not responded.Business response

I will have their Money when I’m done with the job I’m on which will be in the next two weeks or so I’m sorry for not responding to any of their emails or phone calls or text my Intentions are not to pay them back I just didn’t have the money at this time it’s my fault I will take care of it in the next week or two when this job is done I’m onCustomer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17569961, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, if we do not receive our refund from H******* and Sons on or before July 30, 2022, I will contact you again to request that you reopen this complaint.
