  Hired Exterior Plus from Home Advisor to Build Garage and Breezeway. After framing was complete and siding was put up many construction issues found as followed: Per code requirements. 1. No railing on steps 2. no riser on steps 3. no support under threshold steps on doors 4. rain coming in because poor roof flashing on breezeway Other problems also: Car doesn't fit in garage because door opening not spec out correctly and opening was built incorrectly to install door rails and opening was undersized. No flashing around windows and door trim. Wall siding nailing not on support studs Missing nailing on T111 Safety yellow tape built into steps hanging down Breezeway corner to garage see through gaps We paid for a electrical plug that didn't get installed No apron around front of garage doors. Contractor stop this from happening. Never had a breakdown of contract on how money was being used for different things Poor cleanup with nails being left everywhere and lawn damage.

  Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/26) */ We were hired to build a garage the size the customer asked for, using the materials that they specified for a cost they agreed to. The contract cost and materials did not change. We do not measure cars before we build garages, as auto dealers do not measure garages before they sell cars. They were very difficult people to work with. We were not allowed back to finish our work which is why the flashing is not complete. I will not send my employees back into a situation to deal with people like that. This customer came to my personal residence and threatened my wife, some people are just not right. We issued a full refund for the work we were not allowed to finish. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Then contract called for a metal roof. We ended up with a asphalt shingles because of a verbal change on material cost. The contractor was notified on four occasion to fix the out code breezeway water leakage, the out of code steps rail and risers missing, threshold door flexing and bending because of no support, Garage door framing undersize to fit an 8ft door. Nailing of T-111 missing studs. Holds under doors and corners. Concrete contractors were stopped from poring apron leading in to garage opening. Left building on the lawn killing the grass. In did not insult his wife. She asked me my name and and what I wanted. I told her my name and wanted to talk to him about a job. She tried to call him but he did not answer. It was a casual conversation about the dog in the yard and an apple tree in back. There were no insults. His equation and response may require further action.
