Hello, I'm reporting this awful, unprofessional experience. I brought my clarinet here on March 1st because my corks popped of old age, and have had an absolute horrific experience. It has taken 25 days for me to receive my clarinet back. During this time, March 8th, received 1 recorked-tenon instead of 3 per my service order. Was informed there was a mix-up. I asked for the bad job to be replaced as well. March 18, was informed clarinet was ready. Arrived. No work had been done on clarinet. Staff member other than the one who took my order was very condescending. Tried to tell me that the job wouldn't affect sound quality, ignored that I needed the other two tenons re-corked. Tried to charge me $40, failed to explain where he got that number from. Told him I already paid for 3 tenons to be re-corked, properly. He made me call repair guy in front of him vs calling on my behalf. Repairman is more personable. He claimed store mgr "rushed him" and my clarinet was "not in the pickup area with the other instruments to be picked up". No apologies, but resolved to repair it 3.20.2022, same-day, and other staff member misunderstood what I was telling him. 3.20.2022- silence. On 24th, called again. Asked. Repair done later that day. Repair guy had told service writer that it was "a botched DIY job" - blatant lying and shifting of blame. Over their bad inter-communications by now and lack of professionalism. 3.25.2022- Tested the clarinet on site with spare barrel. All three tenons were recorked. Of three, top tenon connecting barrel to upper joint missed a section of cork like the previous repair job on a different tenon had. Barrel wobbles back and forth while being played, sound quality is adversely affected. Can not play with defective worksmanship on this tenon. Zero desire to support the store ever again. No apologies, no accountability. I showed a picture of the 'second repair job' to the clarinetists group on Facebook. They encouraged me to file with BBB.
