On 12/07/24 I hired this company to clean my chimneys for $200, which they did. While on site they offered to order, and install a chimney cap for an additional $285 in 7 to 10 days when it came in. I paid up front with a personal check so that they could install the cap if no one were home without delay. After roughly 2 weeks of not hearing from them I called and was told that it just came in yesterday and theyd be out to install it the next day between 1:00 and 3:00. After again not coming out I called and was told that the vehicle had broken down and theyd be out hopefully the next day, but if not then definitely in 2 days. 4 days later I called again and was not called back. I then left a voicemail demanding a call back and instantly received a lengthy text about the installer having COVID and not being able to be near customers for 3 to 5 more days. At that point I sent a text demanding my $285 back because this were beginning to appear more and more like a scam. I was told that I would get a return only after they returned the chimney cap and were refunded from the warehouse themselves. I asked why my labor cost could not be refunded in the meantime and was told that because I cried to **** and left a bad review that Id have to just wait because they said so and it was their policy. I have text them several times and called once or twice asking for a refund or I would have no choice but to file complaints and have not received my money or a response.. I have angis resolution team contact them several times as well and they cannot get a response either. My fear is that I missed the red flag of being given a discount by paying up front for the installation and that this company is a complete fraud taking advantage of people including myself. I paid $485 for a service and am looking to get the $285 for the chimney cap and installation that I never received back.
