AGS Services had installed a new furnace in my home. That system was defective and caused carbon monoxide poisoning and was replaced with a new system by AGS. On two occasions recently during the nighttime, the furnace shut down. The fire department responded and determined on both occasions that the condensate line going outside the house froze and caused the furnace to shutdown. I called AGS Services on 1/24/2022 and a technician came to the house on that afternoon at 3:20 pm. The tech disconnected the condensate hose coming from the furnace to the pump and placed it in a bucket and unplugged the condensate pump from the electrical outlet. He suggested that the condensate hose should be connected to the sink drain in the kitchen to be drained into the septic system. He said he didn't have parts on the truck to do the job. He went to his truck, wrote up bill for $159, and requested payment. He said he was not sure if he would be coming back to fix problem. I spoke to my son, *** *****, about AGS not fixing the problem and asked him to contact AGS to see if AGS was going to come back and complete the job or get a refund of the $159. He called and left messages for Ken Y*****, owner/manager AGS on Tuesday, *** 25 and Friday, *** 28, 2022 but has not received a call back. In the meantime, I hired another plumber to look at the system. He said that condensate system was improperly installed which caused the freezing of the line and system shutdown and made the appropriate repairs. I don't think that it is right that AGS installed a defective system, didn't make the necessary repairs but still charged me $159 for unplugging the pump. I would like a full refund. I am 86 years old and need a reliable heating system in winter. Also, I am not great with email. Please call me on my house phone at ************.
