2020 was a journey that tested people in ways unimaginable. Losing my Dad at the end of it was a real tipping point. My interactions at Life Forest have been with Mel. To say thoughtfulness and compassion are what Life Forest is about is merely touching the surface of how deep their connection to after care is. I lost everything when I lost my Dad. I had no access to family, or his things, things we shared, once he had passed. The grief was devastating. My Dad was an outdoorsy type. He loved being in nature. It was his happy place. Being buried here, it's not simply a place for my Dad to rest. It's a place that offers celebration of one's life. Between concerts, the gardens, the expansion, the access to protected land...it's a place that my daughter and I can visit with my Dad. And it's not sad. It is, but it isn't just a place to mourn. It's a place we go and feel connected and spend time. In nature. With my Dad and her Papa near. As a family. Doing exactly what it is we loved doing, together. Places like this need to be known of. Understood and supported. For the healing that comes with this type of sacred space is unlike anything I've experienced, and I am forever grateful.

Came across Life Forest while looking for options for my dad's remains. Although I wasn't able to physically go there, I'm in eastern PA and the rest of my family is in the outer borough's of NYC, Mel and John answered all my questions via emails and phone calls. Our very first phone call lasted almost an hour! Mel explained how Life Forest works, the environmental benefits, activities that are provided for the families and so much more. Although we haven't been able to see my dad's tree yet I know he's in good hands. I highly recommend Life Forest to anyone looking for an alternative to crematorium and have their final resting place in a peaceful loving environment.
