Please see attachments. Thank You, "Letter to BBB dated 812612021 The owner of Pro Technologies, Steve L*******, came over to my house on June 1,2021 and did a presentation of his security cameras. I asked about capturing license plate numbers. He said license plates are ditficult to see but his cameras would enable me to see the color, make and model of vehicles plus any additional identifiers (bumper stickers, window decals, etc.) I bought 4 security cameras and a doorbell cam from Pro Technologies which they installed on June 10,2021. The doorbell cam never worked. The tech who installed the third doorbell cam said that the company has been having nothing but problems with these cameras. The third one doesn't work either. All I can see is who rings my doorbell. I can't hear them and they can't hear me. That's not the way a doorbell camera is supposed to work. Also, the doorbell cam stopped working completely on July 12th and didn't come back online untilAugust 16th. I have no idea why the camera stopped working and started again. Maybe Pro Technologies did something. I know they could do things to the camera remotely. The 2 front cameras, that are equipped with Night Color Technology, are very pixilated at night. When a car went by and threw a beer bottle on my front lawn all I saw was a light colored blur. Another one was a dark colored blur. The Night Color Technology was supposed to fix that. lf someone is walking down the street and I zoom in to try to see who it is the image is so distorted that it's hard to see if the person is a male or female. This is not what lwas told to expect. Steve L******* told me the images would be clear and crisp. When I complained about these problems Steve L******* said that they only had one doorbell camera. Then he said he did have another one but that would cost me $10.00 a month for the monitoring fee (l went with them because I didn't want a monthly fee). I told him that the cameras aren't doing what he said they would do so I wanted to return them and get a refund. He said "NO". He won't let me return the cameras. So basically l'm stuck with cameras that don't work (like he said they would) and l'm out $3,646.76. What kind of company won't let you return their merchandise? Reputable companies stand behind their products. lf you have a problem you return it. These are common consumer practices. lf something is defective or doesn't work the way it's supposed to you return it. And you receive a full refund. That's allthis is. Steve L******* doesn't stand behind the merchandise he sells. lf you buy his cameras you're stuck with them whether you like them or not. This is so wrong I want to return his cameras and receive a full refund. Thanks, ***** ***** Note: Steve L******* told me the cameras were made in this country. They are not. The are made in China. I found out that on June 16,2021 the FCC proposed a ban on Chinese Surveillance cameras, including the ones made by Dahua (which is what Pro Technologies installed) because they are a threat to National Security. !'m surprised that he would be selling products made by companies that the FCC is investigating"
